Wow, I watched the game and we were just brutally awful. Seriously, a massive Fail game. It's disappointing after we had been playing so well (and won) the past four games. I mean, we got destroyed by Philly? Elton Brand dominated us? No AI? Jason Smith was having his way in the paint?
Flynn just dribbles around and pounds the ball so much. Sessions is a much better facilitator. It's pretty obvious. Flynn is a backup SG/PG spark off the bench. He is not starting caliber PG for a contender. Same thing we said about Foye. Flynn will be better than Foye when all is said and done, but its still true.
Love played well in the first quarter, and then disappeared. He needs more than 24 minutes. Wtf?
Nothing else to say about us, we were terrible. 19 turnovers and atrocious transition defense doesn't help either. We had no answer whatsoever for their length and athleticism. If you missed the game, it was not pretty. Heck, we gave up 73 points in the first half. Just brutal.
That's why there is such a conundrum with these team. After the past four wins, ya want us to keep winning and play well. Then they have a reality check game against a crappy team like Philly, and you see how truly awful we are. I mean, we need like three more lottery picks, at least, for any hope for contending in the future. So in that regard, we need to lose as many games as possible to get a chance for guys like Wall and Turner. It's the only way.
I guess a good barometer will be to see how we play against a "legit" team like Charlotte tomorrow night. If we get blown out again, then the past four games were just an illusion. Even bad teams in the NBA can win a few games in a row every now and then. And if we win tomorrow night, don't listen to this post as its just another time I've overreacting because of post-game blowout loss frustration.
