Game Thread: Wolves vs Miami Heat (2/23/10) 1 year, 11 months ago #42465

Season Record: 13-44

I have no idea if Wade will play or not. They have won 5 of their last 6 though. I just can't pick us to win.

PREDICTION:

Wolves 98 - Heat 101
Question: "Why do you shoot so many Threes?"

Antoine Walker: "Because there are no Fours."

Heat - 106
Wolves - 104

we just keep games close to look like we are competing but that's just Rambis's way of tanking without getting called out on tanking

Darko will continue to post inhuman +/- numbers. That is why he will not play more than 20 minutes. ;D

I know the Heat are hot, but I still think they suck, especially without D. Wade.

Wolves - 95
Heat - 90

Darko with 2 points and 4 rebounds in a less-than-stellar performance. I can't wait to see how people react when Darko has a poopy game tonight.

Yeah, that should be interesting. Especially over at "you-know-where."

Ha! Indeed.

I have been negative lately, so my apologies. I really hope Darko does well. Just seems so hard to see. I'll bet the guy gets heckled in every arena, and Miami in Wade's house isn't exactly the best place for a follow up game with the 2003 draft connection. I'd be surprised if he was as effective as Sunday, but his sheer size should allow him to somewhat productive with us no matter the opponent.

It's just too bad with Darko that it was "stardom or bust." The guy has been somewhat effective for a good chunk of his career as a role player. Heck, its a draw between him and Hollins for me in terms of role. I think Darko provides more defensively.

Most annoying thing about Hollins: His tip-slam attempts that could have been nice tip in attempts or offensive rebounds. So obnoxious. 3 per game average I'm guessing.

Remember last year when we went to Miami on that big losing streak? We hit like 15 threes or something. Telfair had like 6 threes and 30 points. That was a huge head scratcher. I may or may not have predicted us to lose by 50.

No D-Wade = man the Heat are boring to watch without him. His "supporting cast" really sucks.

I can't decide about Beasley... on one hand, he's talented. On the other... ugh. He's definitely like a fourth option on a good team. Maybe he'll get better as he gets older, who knows.

Darko definitely had a lesser game than his debut, although he did play more minutes and blocked 3 shots. Hard to complain about that, and I'm not. I don't want to be the person that overreacts (either good or bad) in regards to how he plays the remaining games this season. If we go out and sign him to the MLE or something, then yes, I'd freak out.

He's clearly not in shape, but is he good enough to start? I'd at least try it. He just shows how SMALL the rest of our team is. My goodness. We haven't had a legit 7-footer in quite some time.

Hollins... sucks. Big Al has sucked lately. Flynn has sucked too.

The thing with Flynn is, he can score. No doubting that. But when he's not scoring, he literally does nothing else. 1 assist and 5 turnovers again tonight. He's terrible at facilitating any offense, and has lots of turnovers. We need Rubio and or Wall. If not, I don't see Jonny leading us to contention down the road.

Love was our best player. About time he played 30 minutes. He and Darko play better together than Love and Al. Weird.

We are unstoppable when playing in Miami!!!!
