Kahn is just getting started extra early on the tanking this year.
He HAD to know Flynn was having surgery before trading Sessions, RIGHT?
Guys... Kahn has only one more year to maximize our assets before we owe the Clippers our own First Rounder. The team as assembled (including Flynn if he plays well) could actually reach 30 wins and cripple our chances to get a good draft pick. Our best plan is clearly to tank one more year and then start trying, hoping that in the process our good players don't get tainted by the stank of defeat.
As Timberwolves fans, I can assure you that nothing guarantees sub-thirty wins like having Bassy T as your backup point guard for a good chunk of the season.
Take the long view!!! We want another league-sucking year! If we bring in a player of Harrison Barnes' caliber, it could change things. There are probably some other sleepers in the mix too, maybe Brandon Knight or Will Barton will develop and come out for the draft. Anyway, I think we would all agree that we could use another high-ceiling piece in addition to Rubio. Seriously, if we add another top-5 draft pick next year we will be stacked with top 7 talent through our entire rotation, and will have the luxury of (GASP) only playing talented players. I'd prefer that to acruing a few more wins over the next 2 years while Kobe, Wade, Duncan, and Boston are battling it out for the important games.
I know it hurts now, but it will work out better in the long run. A very good personal friend of mine once sang, "Gotta pay the cost to be the boss." I think we can all agree that applies here.
As for this season, look forward to more stankery. I hope our dance squad is cute.

I absolutely cannot and will not stick with this team through another completely tanked 12-17 win season. If they do that, they might as well move this team somewhere else, because the only remaining fans will be the eggheads at CH that just watch the boxscores and not the actual games.

Question: "Why do you shoot so many Threes?"
Antoine Walker: "Because there are no Fours."

OOOOOOOOOOOOR... this could be Beazley-bub's chance at putting the entire franchise on his shoulders and leading us to the playoffs in a super-human effort to give Dwayne Wade and the Wade-ettes the big F You.
It could happen, C-Wolf. Watch this and cheer up...

Like I said before. Every 1st player we draft gets injured because they are the wrong pick.
Examples:
Drafted: McCants, Should of drafted: Granger
Drafted: Roy, Should of kept: Roy
Drafted: Brewer, Should of drafted: Noah
Drafted: OJ Mayo, Should of Kept: Mayo
Rubio doesn't count because he didn't play here
Drafted: Flynn, Should of drafted: Curry
Drafted: Wes Johnson, Should of drafted: Cousins
I wonder what Wes Johnson will be injure with next year?
I think the only way to break it is if we draft the right player.
