trade idea 1 Month, 1 Week ago Howls: 7
I was thinking now about Kahn and this year SF's draft so came up with an idea. I really like Derrics Favors and i was hoping that we can select him so i'm sugesting we trade Wesley Johnson plus something for Favors. Why? Favors has the allstar potential but he is young and Wes will be a good player but allstar? hmm i dont think so.Plus we have to much small forwards and our team will look like this:

PG Flynn,Ridnour
SG Brewer,Ellington
SF Beasley,Webster,Bjelica
PF Love,Favors
C Pekovic,Milicic

What do you think? I know we wont get much better but if Kanh plan is to stock potential this is good trade. Plus Favors will have much bigger trade value than Wesley if Kahn wants to trade him next year.

And my second trade proposal is Rudy Fernandez. Portland wants to trade him but they want something first rounder for return so can we offer 1rouder from Utah for Rudy? And if Wesley is gone there will be place and minutes for Rudy

I would love Favors + Rudy for Wes Johnson and a Utah pick. Good trades, plus it balances out our roster. And then we can bring over Bjelica at some point too.

I am not sure that the Nyets would do that trade though. If they really wanted Johnson they could have just drafted him. Maybe they would take Flynn + Johnson for Favors?

PG: Rubio/Ridnour
SG: Rudy Fernandez/Brewer/Ellington
SF: Beasley/Webster/Bjelica
PF: Love/Favors
C: Pekovic/Darko

Maybe Johnson+Flynn for Favors+Dooling. Than Ridnour,Dooling,Telfair will be this year point guards but if Rubio comes i think is worth the risk. Plus Rudy and Rubio are friends i think that will help

I don't see teams making major trades like that at this point. Now they've talked themselves into their guys and want to see what they can do.

I reeeaaalllly would like to see the team add Brandon Wright (broken record on this I know). He is the prototype of what we need behind Love and his PER the two years he played was 17 and 18. This is a player who can be very effective in a set role.

There is no way the Golden State values him very much or they wouldn't have taken a clone of him (except OLDER) with the #6 pick.

I am down with Brandon Wright and would love him for cheap (Delonte's contract!?!?!)

Also, from what I've read, Don Nelson more or less hates him. Then again, Nelson will probably be gone before the season starts... but I can't imagine it would take much to get Wright?

Given all the PF minutes we have accounted for it'd be hard to give up much of real value but Ellington/Delonte would be fine.

I'd love to see us use D West as a trade chip but more than likely we'll just cut him and save the money Wright would help us for sure though!!! I think we need one more PF/C to in our rotation!!! If not that a decent SG at least!!! We still need a guy or two before this season starts if we cut him, that's for sure. West and Brewer or a pick could bring a decent player back imo!

Yup, I don't know what the deal is with our cutting so much money. West's contract is way less valuable to us than to a team in the lux. We're gonna have to start getting to the minimum salary soon!

I think Favors might be tough to get, at this point, but perhaps we can re-visit acquiring Evan Turner sometime, as a SG.

It isn't less valuable to us if we are staying under the cap to make a trade midseason. We can't just gift it to a team over the cap. The Wolves would need to actually take a player who that team is essentially cutting back.

Not a very reliable source but it's something to pass the time:

I can't stand the thought of getting Sasha hate that guy!
None the less does seem there is some interest in D West and his contract around the league.

Boston has been another team that's shown interest in obtaining his services.

I think we're pretty OK on that front. We're well below needing to worry about the cap, we should watch out for the minimum at this point.

Obviously, we aren't going to gift that contract away, that wouldn't make sense. We could trade West to some team over the lux tax for, say, similarly sized expiring + seconds, or late first rounder. wop's trade, as a very apt example.

Boooo.

Bleacher Report = worthless.

BR is barely above the Spanish Media in terms of accuracy/legitimacy.

For what it's worth, Delonte has to be cut by August 5th for a team to get the savings of his contract. I hope to god we don't get Sasha Vujabitch. I'd rather have the cap space. He's one of my least favorite players in the entire NBA.

Anybody know why we are not in the running for Rudy Fernandez? I thought we'd be trying to get him as he is one of Rubio's buddies. We could give Ellington/Brewer/West or any combination to get him. I think Ricky would be more willing to come over if Rudy was on the team.

Maybe Kahn thinks if Rudy comes to us and says he doesn't like it here then that might work against us. I don't know. Maybe I'm overthinking this one.

Maybe Portland doesn't want what we've offered?
