Good game so far, check it out!

Rubio with some awesome passes. Man, I can't wait for him to play for the Wolves...
Question: "Why do you shoot so many Threes?"

Antoine Walker: "Because there are no Fours."

Rubio had some pretty big turnovers, but otherwise had a good game. He's definitely got some things to work on, but he can already play at a higher level than any PG on our team (that was specifically aimed at you, Jonny Flynn).

Yahoo story on Rubio in this game.

“He’s an amazing defender, that’s one thing that stood out to me is how well he pressured the ball and disrupted our offense,” said Durant, who led the game with 25 points. “He’s flashy, he’s crafty as well and the passes he did tonight were kind of amazing.”

...

Rubio has said he will likely move to the NBA after playing one more season at Barcelona, with the Minnesota Timberwolves having taken him with their 2009 first-round pick.

Psst. How about this on the front page. I'm sick of looking at Troy and Larry.

I didn't get the watch the game but I saw the last couple minutes of the game and from what I saw I don't think Spain nor Rubio was playing at their best. He made a couple nice passes at the end but some horrible ones. Like the behind the back one to nobody. I think in a real game he wouldn't be doing that at that moment. This is only a exhibition game.

I like team USA and I'm cheering for them but I'm cheering for Rubio more.

I thought Rubio was good overall. At least, I liked watching him. His defense seemed good too.

Apparently KLove didn't play beause he hit his head on the floor the night before. He's like the 12th man on the team, so he won't get many minutes no matter what.

Thanks for posting that boxscore, I've been looking for that.

You know who was really amazing was Navarro. Check out his stats. How good is he at FIBA basketball? Its too bad he couldn't replicate that in the NBA.

Yeah, no doubt. He made a ton of threes his rookie year in the NBA, but that was about it.

Yes he is exciting. Not bad for a 19 year old. He's two years younger than Rose, 4 years younger than Rondo. The sky is the limit! Kahn had to pick him or we'd of killed him later for not doing it. The Flynn pick over Curry is very questionable but Rubio was solid.

He has to come here to play in the NBA but he'll forgo the rookie scale and CBA mess (lockout) so I expect I'll be two more years. ugh! But wait, there will be more high draft picks by then. You have to stay on the bottom long enough to fill up the pot with good players before you ascend to the playoffs. We gotta do it through the draft for the most part. No superstar FA is gonna show up on our door step.

Can see Rubio stealing the ball now and flipping to Wes Johnson for a slam dunk. Or watching him sneak out for a long pass from Kevin Love for a layup-no-wait behind the back pass to Corey Brewer for a monster slam. The place is rockin...sorry drifted off and started day dreaming again.

Good things come to those who wait. This year we got the loaded EAST with Miami/Boston/Orlando/Chicago parade to watch. West is a little more boring with the Lakers/Oklahoma City/Mavericks/Jazz/Suns/Spurs to watch with everyone knowing that the Lakers will probably come out on top.

Then there will be the CBA year with maybe a lockout or partial season if we're lucky. Rubio, maybe if they can solve their differences early enough but I doubt it. Wolves get a top 5 draft pick.

Then, it's the New Improved Timberwolves with Ricky Rubio leading the charge in sold out Target Arena. Lots of nationally televised games to show him against John Wall, Rose, Rondo, D-will, Paul.

The future is bright -- it's just not very close right now. 44 forever.
"So, which one of you guys is going to come in second?" - Larry Bird before the 3 point contest. He won.

Perryp, since you can see the future, does it include K. Love? Ugggghhhh. I can smell the trade brewing now as Love is increasing his trade value with the Olympic team…Excellent Kahn (Mr. Burns voice…)

I'm actually ok with Love as a player, just don't want him here. I am destined to hate every PF we get because of KG. Deal with it.

I'll check my crystal ball, I see a trade coming. Atlanta is not competing in the east very well. They are in 8th place at the trading deadline and are trading Josh Smith to get rid of his 2 more years on his contract for Kevin Love and Corey Brewer. YES!

Wait I'll double check my crystal ball with my magic 8 ball and it says: Yes it is most certainly so! Finally an athletic PF that can run and dunk when Rubio gets here.

Wait here come the lottery numbers...gotta go! 44 forever
