Final Edition of Blogger MVP and ROY Rankings 3 Weeks, 2 Days ago Howls: 69
I'll post a link to the final results. Here's my stuff:

MVP (1st = 10, 2nd = 9... and so on.)

10) KG: Can you really disagree with anything Bill Simmons wrote about KG deserving the award in his MVP countdown article?

9) CP3: One of the best seasons by a Point Guard... ever. They might not have made the playoffs without Paul.

8) Lebron: Long story short is that they didn't win enough games. That's bogus because they would have won less games than the TWolves without Lebron.

7. Kobe: A very good season, no doubt. The main argument I hear is that people can't believe Kobe hasn't won at least one of these by now. It's not a Lifetime Acheivement Award!

6) Dwight Howard: His stats declined from the beginning of the year, and people were disappointed because he *only* averaged 21 ppg and 14 rpg.

5) T-Mac: His shooting percentage isn't great, but he does everything for the Rockets. Anyone see them winning 10 games in a row without YAO, let alone 22!?!?

4) Amare: Has been transcendant since the Shaq trade. Looks like one of the most dominant "bigs" in the league right now.

3) Tim Duncan: Didn't everyone think he was washed up like 3 years ago?

2) Dirk: The passion is back.

1) Chris "Caveman" Kaman: He is a straight up balla.

ROY (1st = 5, 2nd = 4... and so on)

5) Al Horford: Nearly averaged a double-double and helped his team to the playoffs for the first time this decade.

4) Kevin Durant: I will give him a lot of credit for pretty single handidly carrying his team, as well as improving his FG% as the season wore on.

3) Luis Landry: There's no way they won those 22 games in row without the vital contributions from these two unheralded rookies.

2) Carl Scola: See above.

1) Corey Brewer: Smiley!

Bill Simmons is such a huge homer. He would have never gushed about KG if he wasn't on his team. It may all be true but it doesn't make him MVP.

1. CP3
2. Lebron
3. KG
4. Kobe

That is probably true and I'd tend to agree with you. Before I read his article I had it:

1) CP3
2) KG

Well... here it is, the final edition of the Blogger MVP/ROY Rankings. I'm not gonna lie, I'm going to miss doing these. Fun stuff.

Anyhow, the last edition is awesome. We Rite Goode did an excellent job, and I really love their use of the data and graphs:

Wow props to everyone involved for voting on merit (CP3) over lifetime achievement (Kobe). I'm going to consider this the real MVP award and no one can persuade me otherwise.
