Thunder is growing on me a name.
Their logo is reminisant of the Pistons color scheme during the hideous period when they changed them completely to market Grant Hill.

The logo is horrible. Looks like taken out from the 80's. If they wanted 'Thunder' to be the name, should've just taken the Lightning Gun logo from Q3Arena, lol. ;P

That logo is horrendous. I've already mentioned my thoughts on the name (lame). It won't matter much because the people of OKC are going to love them anyway, but it certainly doesn't shed the notion that this isn't a team that can seriously compete with the likes of the large market teams. That logo wouldn't even cut it in the WNBA or MLS.

You guys are way too fussy. Thunder is good. Thunder is loud and awe inspiring and indiginous to Oaklahoma. It doesn't offend anyone except perhaps Zeus. Come to think of it, he would be a good mascot. The logo and colors are a bit retro which is in nowdays. I think, like Pants says, it will grow on you.

I heard that they were originally going with black and gold - like real gold, not "Steelers colors". That could have been sweet.
These colors are horrible. I was reading a ticker today that said "Oklahoma City reveals name.... Colors are blue, yellow, and reddish-orange. "Reddish-Orange?" If your color doesn't even have a real name, that's a sure-fire sign it's not a good choice. If it was a color worth wearing, somebody would have come up with a name for it by now.

People are being paid ,most likely well, to create the Thunder?? wow I mean even if they had a great logo it still wouldnt matter because the name is awful I mean come on give me a pen and paper and a few hours and they would have a better name

How long do you think it will be before OKC gets a new logo? It looks like the logo for a low budget sports league, not an actual team.
At least if the Wolves had actually gone with that Kevin Love prototype jersey, we would only have been the laughing-stock of the league for two weeks.
