I appears espn has an auction option for a live online draft. I used their football auction this year and it worked well.

The only reason I say that is because I get a lot of junk/spam which I delete without checking. Sometimes stuff like that gets sent to my junk/spam folder so if I know about the invite, I can check for it.

Lets stick with Yahoo, the live draft will be easier to deal with time zones.

Now my boys (Hawthorn) play the biggest game of their lives in a little under 7 hours, so I shall be otherwise occupied. And if we
get up I shall be completely off my gourd tonight. So I'll organise this week and come up with some ideas for draft times.

Proposed Draft times

DATE

So the season starts on October 28, so I imagine we are trying to strike a balance between rosters shaking out and some pre season trading, getting our contigencies/draft order established and organising around our general lives.

Imagine the weekend before is too late, so lets try for the weekend of Oct 11-12, two weeks time


TIME

Australia enters daylight savings time next weekend so for the weekend in question the time differences will be:

Minneapolis minus 16 hours
Sacramento minus 18 hours
San Juan minus 15 hours

If there are any other zones I need to consider, let me know.


Option 1

Draft starts in Melbourne at 1:00pm on Sunday October 12

Which means for you lot

Minneapolis - 9.00pm Saturday October 11
Sacramento - 7.00pm Saturday October 11
San Juan - 10.00pm Saturday October 11

Now the party animals amongst you may find that inconvenient. The other option is to do this in the AM.
If enough of you prefer that option, I can be convinced to stay up as a gesture of international goodwill.

Let me know and can we firm up some numbers?

I Was Thinking The Same Date!! The Weekend Before is My B-Day and The Weekend After Is My Other League Draft/Party In My House!!

As of this point in time, I have that weekend open. That time works for me too (9PM).
