D-Wade is back. He's a stud. Top 5 in MVP voting in the early going here.

I didn't see the Phoenix - Houston game, but saw highlights of the fight lol. Here come some suspensions...

I really noticed his non-height when he was standing next to Wade. Beasley was taller but not by a ton.

That just goes to show how absurd some of the listed heights/weights for college players are. They should really do something about that and make schools list them legitimately.

A few random thoughts thus far...

Phoenix is much better than people thought. They should get home court. I think they'll get the 4 seed behind Houston, NO, and LA. The Diesel is still beasting and Amare is the best offensive big in the league. Watching Shaq throw around the entire Rockets' team was priceless. Best moment of the year.

Houston is legit, but definitely need some time to gel. I love watching Artest play the game. He is so active and aware on defense. It's so much better than watching the Wolves. If only Brewer wasn't rail thin he'd be a DPOY candidate like Ron Ron...T-Mac won't hold up though, his knee is already shot. Without him at full strength, they'll fall to a lower seed. 7 or 8 maybe.

Dallas...WTF are they doing? Kidd is the hoopinest-old-man in the league besides Shaq. Too bad when they get it together, they still can't beat LA I don't think. I always wanted Kidd to get his...When his contract expires he can go to Boston to backup Rondo maybe

Portland is building a dynasty. They have so many good players that they will be able to wheel and deal what doesn't fit until they have the perfect set. I like them as of now, their players are likable. Except Aldridge.

Lastly, The Jazz. Deep in my heart I know they'll probably beat out Phoenix for the 3rd or 4th spot in the west. I'd be fine if they came out of the west. That team works hard. As a matter of fact, simply because of their coach, they are everything we are not.

Wolves - Miller is to 2nd fiddle on a contender as Palin is to liberal.

Lakers-Phoenix:

- The Lakers are very disciplined on both ends. They don't give up a lot of high percentage shots, they force turnovers, and they get a lot of good shots on offense. If I didn't dislike Kobe as a person and player, I'd like their team.

- Jordan Farmar is fast. I'm not sure whether he can create for his teammates, though.

- Andrew Bynum is solid on both ends, but he has an average post-up game.

- Odom, Ariza, and Radmanovic are keys because they're all inconsistent but can be really good. They're really important to their D because of their length.

- Phoenix had some problems going small. When they tried it, they had a bunch of guys on the floor who couldn't shoot 3s, like Grant Hill and Boris Diaw.

OJ Mayo 26 more points last night.

On the season is averaging 20.6 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 2.3 apg, and 43.3% FG/37.8% 3PT/92.5% FT shooting.

JaVale McGee has impressed me in the few minutes I've seen him play. I thought he was supposed to be a super skinny guy but he looks like an NBA player out there. He also is long, athletic and seems fairly coordinated.

Has anyone had a chance to watch DJ Augustin play yet this year? He is a D Will / CP3 type point guard and if he wasn't playing backup minutes he'd be higher on the ROY list. He is much better than anyone predicted pre draft.

Yeah, I've seen him. He is gonna be good. So is Russell Westbrook. They are both future stud PG's. Wish we had one of them.

Mayo had 32 more points tonight. 13-20 FG shooting too. Pretty damn good, I'd say.

Mayo with 30 more points on 11-22 shooting.

He's now shooting over 46% on the season and averaging 21.4 points per game.

I get it. You are pointing this out because you think we should have kept him?

Yes.

It's doubly frustrating to me because, most times when fans complain about something like this they say: "Oh, we had a chance to draft 'Player X' but we passed him up. I wish we would have drafted him instead." In this case, I was hoping we could draft Mayo, we did... and then we traded him. That's why this is all so rough. If we had the fifth pick in the last draft, and simply drafted Love straight up, none of this would be so hard to handle.

McHale better pull a @#$&in' genie out of his hat when he trades Miller.

I've noticed that deals that clear cap space feel great in the offseason and like @#$% while you are watching the games.

What an extraordinary game this was!!!

http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=281209021

All the following happened in the SAME game:

- Sean Singletary notched a Two Trillion.

- Robin Lopez was also a foul away from a Two Trillion.

- Louis Amundson was a steal and a missed shot away from his very own Two Trillion.

- Tyronn Lue was just barely one rebound away from a Two Trillion.

- Malik Allen notched a Zero Trillion, so he must have played a few seconds at some point.

- Joe Alexander (rookie phenom lol) was a missed shot, a rebound, and two turnovers away from a Five Trillion!

- BUT... Francisco Elson was one steal and one foul away from a TEN TRILLION!!! BWAHAHA! Do you have any idea how difficult that is to do?!?!

What an epic game for boxscore nerds like myself.

CW I'll never look at a box score the same again. I've always noticed what you called the X Trillion but I never had a name for it. Glorious.
