Throughout the week NBATV has been showing half-hour shows of all of the past dunk contests...its' great television. I must say that hands down the best performance since the 80's was Vince Carter in 2000. Almost all of his dunks were incredible. That year the finals were he, Stevie Francis, and T-Mac, and it was very high quality.

Other things I enjoyed seeing from those dunk contests of years past were: Corey Maggette with a Gheri-curl doing flips...KG all blinged out videotaping and reacting wildly to the Vince show in 2000...Mutumbo and Shaq's enthusiastic and wild reactions...All of the great rap music interspersed in the late 90s-early 00s contests when the NBA/Hip-Hop thing was at it's all time high (think DMX, Dre Chronic 2001, etc)...Seeing Doug West actually show mad hops and get somewhat screwed by the judges way back in 1991 (totally forgot about that, I thought Rider & Chris Carr were the Wolves' only participants in the 90s)...

I'm trying to figure out how my guy RONDO was excluded from the field of 27 vying for a chance at the Team USA 2012 squad...cool that K-Perk was selected though...and obviously cool that AL & K.Love are on it...no Joe Johnson also seems like a glaring omission.

J-Kidd on the all-star team? Really? I didn't see that one coming at all.

Hard to believe that with less than 30 games to play the #2 & #11 spots in the West are all within 8 games of each other...meanwhile there are only 6 winning teams in the East.

I'm as excited for H-O-R-S-E between Durant, Casspi, and RONDO as I am for any of the other all-star festivities...that should be pretty awesome.

College Wolf and I have been cleaning up on NBA betting this year...too bad it still hasn't quite made up for how dogcrap we were on the NFL season...

The Lakers are 3-0 without Kobe, and that's against above average competition...just sayin

...excited for all-star weekend...

Nice write-up! Yeah, that dunk contest was probably the greatest one. Vince was on another level...

Where are you guys betting? Is there a site? Obviously I'm not a gambler, but am intrigued.
How cost a house in Fridley?

We do our nba stuff on bodog.com. For NFL we are in this corporation thingy which is kind of hard to explain. I also like to go to covers.com for a lot of my betting related information...

There are dozens of online sportsbooks that you can use. It's pretty fun betting on the NBA each night and watching the games, not gonna lie.

Some of the most reputable books are Bodog, 5Dimes, The Greek, and Bookmaker. I'd suggest one of those if you want to bet online. There are lots of other decent ones, but these are the best of the best and you'll never get screwed by them.
Question: "Why do you shoot so many Threes?"

Antoine Walker: "Because there are no Fours."

Nice post. And really, Jason Kidd? Lolol? I kinda want to watch the Rookie-Sophomore game, even though the rookies are gonna get destroyed.

The HORSE competition should be cool too. Love Durant to win, but I like that Rondo is in it.

Lakers without Kobe = greatness! Trade him!!!!!
