WOW, sick trade for the Cavs. Get Telfair and Jamison for essentially a 1st round pick, that will be SUPER LOW in the first round anyways. It will probably be 30th, actually, since the NBA draft order goes by regular season records.

This trade is retarded lopsided. The NBA's economics are completely whacked.

I get being disappointed in Al Thornton. I don't get giving him away for free. One draft day there wouldn't have been anyone in the 20+ 1st round area who wouldn't have taken Thornton for a pick?

What a solid move from Cleveland. Amare has the talent but is just too crazy to share the spotlight with LeBron and when you have a team built on #1 star and good defense you can't add a #2 guy who sucks at D.

Cleveland may have gotten the best of it but this is such a super risky move. Now the Cavs HAVE to win the championship this year or else I think Lebron goes to the Nets. Jamison is already 33 years old and has a huge contract. This is way more risky for them than getting Amare IMO.

The Clippers wanted to shed Bassy's contract so they can go after a free agent this summer and they'd given up on Thornton anyways. Not exactly a good trade on their part but I at least understand what they're doing unlike that Camby trade which was utterly terrible. Kinda cool that Bassy is gonna be on the Cavs now with Lebron..

Decent deal for the Wizards. Jamison's contract is not something you want around when you are trying to blow it all up and rebuild...

And yeah, I love it for the Cavs, think its pretty good for the Wizards (especially salarywise), but think the Clippers did nothing to help themselves. It's not like Telfair made much money...

Can you imagine a bigger lottery day than this one for the Nets? John Wall and Brook Lopez + LeBron/Bosh is the top seed in the East. Brook Lopez, his stuffed Mickey Mouse and a $@#t sandwich roster is going to be a tough sell.

Amare is going to opt out. The new CBA is going to completely rewrite the rules on player contracts or else the NBA is going to go under. They are hemorraghing money. It would be really, really stupid for him not to sign a new contract under the current rules and if he has an agent that isn't completely worthless, than he will do everything he can to get Amare to opt out.

The Nets look as they will probably be heading to Brooklyn, Jay-Z is one of of Lebrons best friends and part owner. As much as we all hate Brook Lopez, he is going to a top center for years to come. If they get the top pick (aka John Wall) and Lebron, not even mentioning Harris, Williams, whoever else they have, and the most cap room of any team in the NBA, they will be a force. They have way more to offer Lebron than Cleveland does.

This trade makes me sick. Cleveland is pretty much going to be handed the ring this year. Now with Jamison the cavs will be able to handle teams who go short at power forward like the magic did to them last year in the Conference Finals and then match up against teams that go big. Not to mention they match up with the lakers now. My dislike for lebron james only goes up after this.
