2008 NFL Draft Thread... 9 Months, 2 Weeks ago Howls: 124
This is probably one of the best Mock Draft sites on the net for the NFL:

NFL Draft Countdown

It's got us taking Derrick Harvey at the moment. I could definitely live with that.

I admit it makes sense, although I'm getting sick of the Vikings drafting Defensive ends, it seems like we've drafted a dozen of them the last few years.

Yea, I'm really hoping someone drafts Harvey before the Vikings get on the clock so they won't think about drafting him.

There aren't a lot of other real big impact players in this draft. Who else should we take? We all know Secret Squirrel is against taking a WR in the first round... plus we signed Berrian. I wouldn't be against Malcolm Kelly. He's a stud with size.

Would Udeze and James been classified as real big impact players coming out of college.

i'm not necessarily against the Harvey pick but I'd say at DE there is no sure thing. The closest thing to it was Julius Peppers... and he wasn't going in the middle of the 1st round.

I haven't found the guy I'm rooting for the team to take yet. I wouldn't be against a WR. If we are rolling with Jackson he's going to need quality WR's.

I would love to have Malcolm Kelly or Aqib Talib, who is projected to be taken the pick ahead of us in a lot of mock drafts.

I like the Talib idea also. It has been a while for this team and a 1st round defensive back. One good thing about this club compared to where it was 3 years ago is that there aren't many glaring holes (I'm aware of TJack but I don't see a high QB pick in the works). Basically the best player available is going to be the guy who will help them most.

The other defensive back who'll likely be picked in area the Vikings are selecting is Kenny Philips. I wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole. He is a police blotter waiting to happen.

I have officially resigned commenting on WR's after I thought Mike Williams and Dwayne Jarrett would be studs. I really like what I've scene from Mario Manningham... so he must be a bust waiting to happen.
