What a pathetic charge. So our OC Darrell Bevell can't talk to his good friend Favre, who happens to be still be retired? How do you tamper with a retired player?

Anyways, what I get from this is if Favre is released, he's coming to the Vikes. GB would rather have him go to any other team besides the Vikes, therefore they will not release him. We're his team of choice, his chances of going back to the Packers are now pretty nonexistant. Favre already said that Tampa Bay isn't too high on his list because he prefers to be somewhere with colder weather.

This whole thing is funny. Ted Thompson is the biggest ass, Packer fans look like asses, and Favre looks like an ass. Good stuff.

If I had odds I'd say...

50% Packers - public pressure and 15 million bucks can get issues put in the past.
15% Retired
25% A random good team that has a bad injury at QB in the first few weeks (the perfect fit would be NO)
5% Best offer from a team in the South.
5% Vikings

and by odds I mean percentages.

Those percentages sound about right. Maybe a little bit more towards the "random team with an injury" though.

It all depends on how much a playoff berth is worth to them. I don't know the dollar value of something like that. Is it worth $13 million? Favre on the Vikings could easily cost them the division.

I'm not entirely sure either, but I really, really, don't think they make a minimum of $13 million off one playoff game. Also, there is no guarantee their game would be at home. I'd guess they'd have to play at least two HOME playoff games to recoup the $13M they'd have paid Favre.

Well, he filed for reinstatement today and the guys on ESPN are going apeshit about him to the Vikings, like it's a done deal, one way or another.

What I like about what was being said is this; they may release him on 1 Sept if they can;t talk it out. By then, Vikings will have 4 games behind them aka Tarvaris Jackson audition. If he struggles, they might turn to Brett.
