Yeah, I know you are right, I am a math guy myself but I am used to being disappointed by this franchise so I am not getting my hopes up. In my mind it is better to expect the worst from the draft because anything else will seem like an upgrade. Would I love the #1 pick? You bet I would, but I will be disappointed if I expect that to happen and it doesn't.

I'm going to have to dig really really deep to get jazzed about next season if Brook Lopez is our major acquisition. Really Deep.

Maybe I should be ashamed of myself, but my main concern about this draft isn't where we'll end up...probably, because history has taught me that no matter how good our pick might be, it will be wasted anyway. And I am by far not brave enough to dare hoping that we luck out with the pick 1 or 2.

So I the only thing I will keep my fingers crossed for is that Miami does end up no higher than the 3rd pick. I know the lottery has a tendency to penalize tanking teams, but deep inside me this little voice won't shut up, telling me that one of the most ridiculous tanking experiments I've ever seen might just once result into a value pick.

My reoccuring nightmare goes like this:

Kevin McHale is my Dad and Randy Wittman is my Mom. In my dream Randy is a woman. They trade my favorite brother to the neighbors for 5 of their kids and some food. The oldest one was almost 18 and ready to leave the house so he wouldn't be a financial burdon anymore. One was very talanted but wouldn't behave, one is really a good brother and maybe someday will take the place of my favorite brother. One brother was supposed to be bad but he turned out OK. One brother is a good all around guy but he likes some guy named CW better than me.

They say they are going to adopt another brother for me to play with but I'm not sure how good the choices are. Dad wants a big brother to watch over us all, but Mom wants a shoint brother, whatever that is.

Does anybody have any idea what all this means?

Usually dreams are kind of wacky, but this was a completely possible scenario and the math was even correct that this would bump us to #6.
