TOPIC: LT to the Vikings?

ah good ole' football talk to get my sports fever going again. Vikings most certainly need to address the offensive line because that is the only part of our offense that isn't stacked anymore. I think Hutchinson will be fine this year because he finally had shoulder surgery and should be back to 100%. Hopefully a year of experience for Loadholt and Sullivan will help them. We most certainly need to get rid of Mckinnie though because if you look up overrated in the dictionary i swear there would be a picture of McKinnie in there.

Another Position we need to secure is CB. Our lack of depth could cost us in some games. It scares me with Winfield not playing the entire year last year and then Griffin going down with the acl tear in that game i'm trying to block out. We need to draft/pick up a CB who can make plays on defense like INT's not just pass breakups.

LT will probably sign with us if the Raiders are the only competition because who wants to play for them? LT could teach AP a lot because he used to be the best back in the league on every down not just 1st and 2nd. Childress will have to learn to use them in the splitback because opposing defenses would be terrified with them 2 on the field plus favre and our receiving corps. They would have to pick their poison and no matter what the poison they pick will be fatal.

My thoughts exactly. I am drooling just thinking about it.

I'm really excited about this prospect as well. With the Peterson fumble meltdown we need a solid backup. More than that the Vikings require a 2nd back who is excellent in the passing game (ie not a rookie).
Thank you for the baton Mr. Kidd - Pretty Ricky

Uh-oh, he's considering the Jets and Saints as well.

I think the Vikings makes the most sense for him though. Well... maybe the Saints too, I guess. But definitely not the Jets.

Don't the Aints have enough running backs damn. He left with a Vikings Jersey in hand but no contract. I'm hoping he signs by Sunday so we can start looking at shoring up or Defense

Meh, this is a good move by the Vikings. They're not sweating these games LT and his agent are playing.

The Jets cut Thomas Jones so they could sign a less effective LT? I find that hard to believe.

LT is going to get to play more on the Saints than the Vikings, sharing time with both Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush? Yea, I didn't think so.

If LT wants to sign at our price, then welcome aboard. Otherwise, backup RB is probably the easiest position in football to find and he can easily be replaced.

That is a really great point.

However, I do think we should be willing to overpay him a bit, compared to some random backup RB. He has experience and is a great citizen/veteran. He would fit in well with our team. He's a great pass catching back, which not every player is. Most importantly, I think he would be a great mentor for AP. LT never fumbles... that alone is worth like $5 million per year to the Vikings fans' collective well being lol.

LT signed with the Jets.

Not much of a loss IMO. He's washed up anyways.

I figured that would happen just because before this past year he was saying he's better than adrian and there was no way he was going to be his back up. Plus i would rather play for Rex Ryan too.
