As far as I know, it is not the first time Jaric has asked for a trade. Didn't he do that last season as well?
It is understandable, however. I am not sure that he will see that much playing time this season with so many young guards to evaluate. What me irritates is, that he seems unable to translate his game to the NBA. He is a real leader for his national team, makes smart choices from the point, defends well and shows a good shot selection. I have just recently witnissed this over the course of the ECs. And I guess we are beyond the days in which you could make an arguement this was against far inferior competition.
It must be frustrating to be a national basketball icon in your native country and a undervalued roleplayer in the NBA. Maybe he could find his game with another NBA team, but...I believe in Jaric's case, all parties (including the Wolves) would be well served if Jaric would do what Kirilenko threattened to do to become a star player in Europe...or maybe they'll arrange a fair buyout on favorable terms for the Wolves. Every European Top Team would woo for his services and there is also a lot of money to earn over here.
