I haven't been this un-excited for an upcoming Timberwolves season since the early 90's... and I now have season tickets! ugh.

And I know Foye means well, but he kind of talks a big game. I really hope he proves me wrong, but I think if you are hoping he & Al Jeff are going to lead us to prosperity, even if you are talking about 5 years from now, I think you are delusional.

My 3 favorite Wolfs are all traded (KG, JReed, Hassell), we have no all-star calibur players, no Point Guards, no real Center, no coach, an owner filled with excuses & a GM filled with alibis, and our cheerleaders aren't even hot.

I mean usually I am a pretty big optimist, but I am just bitter and uninterested right now. I'm excited for the NBA to start, just not the Wolves.

At least we have Brewer, I am excited about him (and Smith & Davis too).

I agree.....

With da kid gone, reed gone, mad dog injured.... Howard not wanting to play. I hope Theo is healthy... Foye is an in-experienced player who wants to be leader, makes me sigh. The coach is clueless, and all McCale is thinking is how to get more horrid sweaters... Sighs, this isnt going to be a good year...

The only thing we can hope for is good chemistry. 80% of NBA teams are sleepwalking through the first three quarters on any given night, 50% through all four quarters. If you can simply get a group of guys to go out there and hustle their butts off, that right there could net you 25 wins against decent teams who are being lazy. If this team can just give us 20 based off of beating up the Kings, Pacers, Grizzlies, and Bobcats of the league, we could be there for that last playoff spot.

That would be a major victory in my opinion. At least that's what I'm hoping for so I don't get apathetic.

I'd be a lot more excited if we could get rid of Blount, McCants, Hoopman, The Fat Security Guard that pesters us, Wittman, and the rest of our Front Office sans Hoiberg. Other than that, I'm probably about a 7 or 8 right now. I'm stoked we got Big Al and Gomes, plus I can't wait to see Brewer and Gerald Green. I really miss SILENT ABABU and can't wait to get hooked up with more free/cheap drinks from Tia and Melissa. I really hope Foye can run our offense and knows whats going on out there on the court... if so, we could be a exciting team to watch imo.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

and our cheerleaders aren't even hot.
  ! That's of course an aspect of the upcoming season I have not considered yet. That would have saved the season of course. But anyways, I took the chance to check out this year's dancing team, and BonK is completely correct. But imo most cheerleading teams in the NBA begin to look good only from the shoulder's downwards...

When it comes to the team (solely the players, I mean), I have often stated that I am overall exicted to see this new team develop although I agree with BonK that with KG and Hassel, two of my all-time favorite players have left the Wolves. But there are plenty of new ones that could become favorites of mine, so I will gladly choose the suspense this new-look team brings (may it include surprises as well as many disappointments) over the eternal mediocrity the Wolves were goinng to endure with KG on board.

Will the Wolves suck this season? In many, many games they will for sure. But they always have the potential for a huge game every night they play and they definitely have the potential to be a better team in a few years than Minny had seen in the last two or three seasons.

Excellent points. Yeah you are right. No matter how bad we are, I will always love going to the games. And I love the NBA, so it will be a fun & exciting year.

And as I said before, I am really excited about us having Brewer. And I do thoroughly enjoy watching Ricky Dazzle & Craig Smith play on a nightly basis. I actually enjoy Marko too, so I hope he gets some p.t. And it will be interesting to see how Foye & McCants (the \"big talkers\") perform.

And yeah, I guess i can't be such a scrooge about the new Boston guys. I am stoked for Gerald Green! I wanted us to nab him when we drafted McCants...badly. And now he is one of us! And Al Jeff sounds very intriguing, as I love good post play, so I have that to look forward to. And Gomes sounds like he could be a more rounded, more outgoing Trenton Hassell type. Telfair could be interesting to follow.

Okay, okay, I am coming around...I think I needed this therapy session!

PS - And I can't wait for SILENT ABABU time, as well as many a happy hour & nights on the town before/after games...yeah, it will be a fun season no matter how bad we are.
