One thing that does concern me... are we in a youth movement or not? I mean, GG, Richard, and Brewer had 0 combined minutes. Our vets had major minutes (Marko - 39, Walker - 30, Buckner - 29) I guess if that's what it takes to win... but is winning more important than developing? Ahhh I don't really know. It just doesn't seem like we have a solid longterm plan or a lot of direction. Are we playing these vets so that we can showcase them for a trade? Are we trying to win as many games as possible at the expense of the youngsters getting minutes? I give up.
Keep in mind Jaric doesn't fit into the tired vet catagory. He is young and we already have him tied up long term. Our desire was to somehow dump him which we could'nt because he was bad. But if he develops into something valuable, bingo! he's a part of our rebuilding future.
Also keep in mind if we play only the youth, they will become completely demoralized and ruined for life. We need to create some kind of success so we can garner a winning attitude. I'm sure CB amd CR will get minutes, whether it's here or in D league. GG needs to find another job.
I'll give you that about Jaric. I guess he's somewhat valuable if he gets his act together and keeps playing like he has been. He's still overpaid though.
As for the youth, I'm not saying to *only* play the youth, but they DO need more than 0 minutes per game. Either play them at least 10 minutes or send them to the D-League. Either option works for me. (Except for GG, he can't go to the D-League.)
