Why no introduction or concluding paragraphs? That seemed kinda weird.

Anyhow, in regards to your five points:

1) As for turnovers, doesn't every team need to attempt to limit them? I would think it's the same for everyone, regardless of how old the players are, or the amount of experience they have...

2) I don't see how our defense will be better right off the bat. I mean, we just lost of one the best and most versatile defenders in the league. I love Big Al, but currently his defense is his achilles heel.

3) I agree that our rebounding should be as good as it was before, at the minimum. With Big Al, Gomes, and Brewer I think we'll actually be a better rebounding team. That shouldn't be hard, since we have been one of the worst rebounding teams the past few seasons.

4) Evaluating the players that we need to develop and keep (and who to jettison) is definitely going to be one of the biggest issues facing this team this season. Also, who gets the minutes at what positions? It's gonna be very tough. I'm not sure if our Front Office and DimWittman are the right guys for the job.

5) Don't all teams always want to protect their home turf?
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

1.) Yes, all teams need to limit turnovers. However, like the article states young teams are more willing to throw the crazy pass or what have you in an attempt to be flashy when could have made the easy/safe play instead.

2.) Defense may not be ideal, but Randy Foye is an upgrade from Mike James, Corey Brewer is an upgrade from Hassell, Gerald Green is an upgrade from Rashad McCants...and Rashad McCants is an upgrade from last year's Rashad McCants because he should be healthy.

Since you agreed on 3 and 4, I'll move on to 5...

Of course all teams need to protect home court, but it is even more critical for a young team like this. Good teams win at home...championship teams win on the road. How about they take the first step and be a good team?

Dude, stop drinking the Corey Brewer Kool-Aid! ;)

Brewer is going to get pwned by the bigger SF in this league until he bulks up. Hassell's the best defender we have. Wait until Brewer plays a minute of NBA time before you christen him as the best on our team. I'm not so sure how good our D will be as we lost KG and Hassell and Brewer are the only two players who are really known for their defense.

Also, Gerald Green is (somehow) a worse defender than McCants. Even though I am not a McCants fan at all, I can't say GG is better than him. Having watched around a dozen or so Celtics games last year in their entirety, it was obvious that GG was by far the worst defender on the team. His \"defensive bball IQ\" is depressingly low, he doesn't know how to rotate or play team defense, and for the most part looked hopelessly lost.

Hopefully he can improve all that sooner rather than later, because he really could become an offensive weapon.
