Yeah I have little interest in Cousins. This team does not need an attitude like that and I have no interest in the coaching staff playing psychiatrist. And as is the crux of this thread, I don't have any interest in trading for another prospect in general. Even for nothing.

This is different than what I have felt in the past. The Wes vs Cousins question is more 'pick your poison' now. The real solution was to do a trade back and take Paul George, who everyone around here loved at the time. Alas.

Overall I wouldn't mind Wes if he took on more of a swiss army-defensive Thabo Shelfolsha/Corey Brewer role. We don't really NEED the guy for scoring and he has the tools to be an energy 2 guard backup. That is probably his NBA future in a nut shell if anything.

But still - as much as I love D Will and the prospects...can you imagine this team with that competent shooting guard INSTEAD of sir backup D Will? Anthony Tolliver is a man child and is a more than capable permanent backup power forward, as are Pek and Brad Miller at Center. Can you imagine a player of D Wills VALUE at the 2 guard spot? Egads. What fun.

I agree about the Thefolosha thing, but last night I started thinking, isn't Wes J's ultimate destiny really Richard Jefferson???

And as I'm typing this, the first time in probably a good decade that I have actually had a reason to type Richard Jefferson's name, it occurs to me that "Richard Jefferson" is one of the most bland non-descript NBA player names out there. It just screams of underachievement. His career has been decent, but overall fairly underwhelming. The only problem is that early in his career, RJ attacked the basket, whereas lately he's hung out in the corner like a Bosh.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the future Wes Johnson!

I should qualify the previous statement by reiterating that 2009-2012 Jefferson is a good WJ comp, not the 2001-2009 RJ.

Nice idea with RJ. How about Stacey Augmon?

Blame Barnes. :(

Oh my. Point of the week. Howl to you.
Sigh. This has me crying uncontrollably. :( :( :(
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Good point. RJ was actually a really good player those years on the Nyets.

But now, oh boy, he's so blah and washed up.

Trenton Hassell. I expect nothing more of Wesley.

Cousins isn't just "potential" such as Wes or Randolph are. He would come in and average a double double out of the gate. He's more like Beasley. Talented but inconsistent and you guys are probably right that there isn't enough room on this team for two mental cases.

That's where you are wrong my friend. Love ain't letting anyone else get double-doubles consistently. It would mean he's only getting 10-12 rebounds a night.

It's pretty funny watching Rubio take rebounds that most of the other players on the team let Love have

He's averaging 5.6 Offensive Boards per game. I don't care how many easy rebounds you get on D, no one is letting him get offensive boards. He's awesome this year.
