I like this matchup for the Wolves. They can hopefully work this out of shape Mavs team now while they are rusty.

Love is playing better than Dirk right now. Beasley can run around Odom and Marion who are both out of shape. Barea will hoop them for revenge. Terry, Kidd, and Roddy can't guard Rubio. Derrick Williams should get big minutes since it will probably be a small-ball game.

Had the honor of seeing Ian Mahinmi dominate the Raptors front line at AA center the other night and he is actually a decent player. He was the player of the game at the arena.

Also saw Khloe and its gunt in person.

I am highly doubting my prediction, but I saw the Mavs up close the other night. They looked UGLY despite beating Toronto. As unorganized as the Wolves. They have no idea how to use Odom yet. Vince Carter is like our Beasley, he kills the flow of their offense and Carlisle has been slow to adjust this year when Dirk gets doubled down low and can't get off a shot. But when Carlisle does adjust, look out. And Terry is just never going to decline it seems. He is like 35 but I could see him playing at his level for another 5 years.

And it was great being in the AA center to boot. First class arena. The corridors felt small and almost like an airport 'main' terminal shopping area, marble floors, flatscreen TVs everywhere. They even sold slushies, a WW favorite (though I didnt get one this time). Oddly, and it was probably the lowly opponent, the arena was packed to the brim but as quiet as can be. It seems like the place was built to eat sound. One thing I really like about Target Center is that place can get LOUD as shyt. Few things beat a packed Target Center against a marquee opponent. Also, sat next to some toothless season ticket holders who spoke very highly of Barea. Of note: my season ticket to the Wolves this year, per game, in generally the exact same spot in Target Center as I sat in AA center, cost about 1/20th of the price per game, per seat. True story.

Favorite part of the game was hearing people:
a. Yell obscenities in a southern drawl
b. Bitch when the Mavs were up by anything less than 10 points.

That is awesome about AA, Wally. I always love hearing stories from other arenas. LOL about the ticket prices, but that makes sense. Target Center always has been so dirt cheap.

Will the ticket prices from scalpers and online and whatnot finally go up this year? Now that we have (another) high draft pick and Rubio playing for us? I hope not.
