In closing, are the Hornets better after trading CP3?
Clearly not, but they had zero choice in the matter.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Why Spencer Hawes could be the next LeBron James

(Disclaimer: I think this article might be taking their previous Spencer Hawes argument a bit too far.)

Note: I mentioned in my top 20 (Love Extension thread?) that Hawes and Lowry are having secretly great years first weeks. It's more fun when it is still a secret. These guys clearly don't get it.

1. Sure they did! Really? And 2. That is besides the point. I made that disclaimer in the post. The Wolves aren't in a position to NEED to trade Love, so the entire concept of needlessly downgrading talent for no reason is just totally off base.

Would I trade Love for those 2 if there were truly no other choice and he announced he was leaving or demanded out? Of course!

Also - remember when Foye was drafted 15 spots higher than Lowry after he starred at Villanova? Heh.

Oh, nice work.

However, Lowry is actually a really good player and a tenacious defender. I am sure he'll get more props this year, as he went way under the radar last year.

They have no Owner and he was going to leave for nothing after the season. They absolutely HAD to trade him asap, and every team knew it.

Okay, now you are just trying to spin the argument into a needless direction.

Huh? No I'm not. It would have been the most idiotic thing in the world to not trade him and lose him for nothing. At least they got Gordon and our pick. That is about the best they could have possibly gotten since every team in the league knew their situation.

Okay...agreed... but you nipicked an entire post and picked out something completely irrelevant to what we are talking about, while ignoring every other (accurate) point I made.

I'm calling our marriage counselor. Executive decision!

I wasn't really nitpicking, just didn't have time to properly or adequately address everything else to be honest.

That was certainly a good post by you, I should have mentioned that as well earlier.

No worries, thanks.

Had been awhile since we bickered. Kinda missed it.

Let's agree on this, as others have said: How sweet it would be if we could offer Wes and D Will to OKC and get a 'yes.' Even if that would create major cap problems down the road. We still have 4-5 years of Rubio at the rookie scale.

Yes, that would be so awesome. They could even have Wayne and/or Webster if they even wanted them.

And I'd have to imagine that if we keep Rubio + Love and are able to add other potential star(s), then our idiot Owner could go over the soft salary cap to keep the team together. At least, that is my hope. Not 100% confident though.
