It's not a question of being pissed per say. The wolves need to make him feel wanted, like they will do whatever it takes to keep him because there are other places he would rather be playing. Why would he stay with a 2nd rate organization that (from his perspective) doesn't care that much whether he stays or goes when he could rather be playing in LA or wherever.

Wait, so Love is a teenage girl now? I thought I understood, but now I'm not so sure.

Sounds like the kind of thing that teenage girls do.

Mock it all you want but that's how it works. A player doesn't turn down $60 million and hold out for $70 million because the 60 isn't enough to live on, it's because they want to be paid what they think they're worth. When they see other players around the league who they think they are better than making more money, it agitates them. Plus most of them have massive egos so it's not hard for them to feel slighted in some way.

I got to believe KLove will play a poker face as long as he can. 4 yr/$60 mil is alot of bread. Love means to Wolves what Rose does to Chicago and Lebron to Miami. I think there's room for improvement on the offer.

The only way they can improve on the offer as reported in the Strib is to add the 5th year, it's already a max deal for 4 years.

I think they should do it. I'm sure many didn't want to see KG leave. Personally I think KLove is a greater contributor than was KG!

Ha! Your name is "Action" on CanisHoopus isn't it! You've got to be that same guy who started this foolishness in this thread. Search for "Garnett" to find that conversation in the thread. You (or Action) got ripped to shreds. Klove is a greater contributor in absolutely ZERO ways than Garnett was - either on or off the court. Just end this conversation now. You've got to be like 18 years old...the ol' recency effect.

Nah, no "Action" here. I might be the oldest fart here. Just my opinion. I haven't day to day knowledge of what KG did as a Twolf. Saw him shooting lot jumpers. I didn't think his game then was as developed as it got in Boston. Side by side I'm going with KLove. Although both of them whine alot.

Preposterous statement of the year. You just basically claimed you've got no knowledge of KG's game. Clearly you don't hoopnuts. The awesomeness of this board is our willingness to forgive. Everyone forgave me and all the others (Roundhouse I think) who thought Al was better than Love. Everyone forgave me for proclaiming Martell Webster a 3rd fiddle on a contender (or whatever I said). Everyone forgave Wolfenstein for that fail of a Wizards/Wolves trade the other day.

Your take is one of the largest fails I've seen in recent memory. That said, looks like this is turning into Canis Poopus.

You mean that awesome trade that resulted in multiple Timberwolves championships IMMEDIATELY? :woohoo:

Was also saying that Big Al is better then Love. Most of us did I thin, just like most of us were unhappy with the Love-Mayo trade.

And I will say that with Al playing center in this team instead of Darko we would be a playoff team for sure.

I didnt say KG was a worthless piece. He's extremely good. What I recall of his game as a TWolf was mostly what I saw in the 1st round of playoffs where I guess he underproduced I'd call it. That was my measure of him almost exclusively. Maybe not fair I'll admit. I like Love but I'm not falling all over him. Just sayin with what he did last season and so far this he's worth a 5 yr deal. Toughness on the boards and in the paint I got to say Love over KG. Seems his biggest critics said he could be soft in the paint settling for turn around "J"s. Abd that is what I witnessed. I think since he left Minny he's grown considerably. May have had something to do with Pearce, Ray Allen, Doc Rivers and icons like Bill Russell, Havlicek, Cowans, the list is incredibly long and rich with bball history. That kind of history will make you into a more serious player.

By the time KG got to the Celtics he was at the back end of his prime. You don't get any national exposure when you play for the wolves.
Toughness on the boards and in the paint I got to say Love over KG

Now there's a real laugher. You do realize that KG led the league in rebounding 4 straight years right? I'm not even going to touch the subject of toughness in the paint because it's not even a discussion. So Love is a slightly better rebounder, and KG is better at everything else and you would choose Love? Makes perfect sense...

Now please stop talking.

This is so true. Especially in the NBA.

I don't know how any of you would/could dispute this.

Hey Daddy, remember when you wanted to trade K-Love to Golden State for Anthony Randolph and their lottery pick?
