Wolves 105
Jazz 101

1. Ricky Rubio

2. OK

Bonus prediction: Ricky makes a half court shot to end a quarter.

Just so we're clear, the Clips were playing their fourth game in five nights... so yeah, normally, they would destroy us.

Nice little run, I would love to see the Wolves at 0.500, but I just don't see it.

Wolves 93
Jazz 101

Al4MVP
Clearly, that is an unprovable statement and if it wasn't for a meltdown in ATL we could be going for 6 in a row.

Love 5-21 and not much of a defensive presence.

Yikes, bad loss. :(

Can K-Lav not shoot or what? He's at 42% this year. That is just BRUTAL. :S

Good to see it looks like Rubio had another sweet game!
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Ehh, sh*t. Oh well, I like the Wolves losing to the Jazz more than the Clips. Ty Corbin must be a good coach. That team is responding to him and still plays the "Sloan Way" on the court. I can't think of a more physical team than the Jazz. Griffin and Jordan are pretty physical, however.

The prototypical kryptonite for Love - opposing big men who are as strong or stronger, quicker, and who operate on the low block offensively. Milsap, Griffin, Zach Randolph, etc. I don't know what Love can do to conquer this beast. His game is relentless garbage pail work down low coupled with 3's that he can't get off with a defender on him because he can't jump. A team who has multiple guys to match those two components of his game will stifle him often. Not only does Utah have the bigs to stifle him offensively, they have the exact player he can't guard...Paul Milsap. Kevin Love, if you want to REALLY be the best PF in the game, I suggest you hand Hakeem or Tim Duncan a sh*t load of cash this off-season and ask them to Miyagi you into an offensive beast on the post. Additionally, I suggest you lock yourself in a room with one of the coaches for 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, and just watch defensive clips of KG, Rasheed, Tim Duncan, Perkins, Chuck Hayes, etc.

Anyway, great offensive showing by Wes. If Ty Corbin didn't pay attention to his shitty defense maybe we can trade him for CJ Miles...

Wayne is still on fire. If Adelman is smart he'll keep him at 20-25 minutes a game to not have him try to do too much. He can turn into a sparkplug. He is our best wing defender along with Rubio and he knows the offense (just chill on those long two's buddy).

That Clipper game took a toll on Darko. He was MISERABLE physically. His face looked like he could barely walk. He still was solid on both ends in limited minutes. I have a feeling he might not play Monday. Let him rest for a game or two. We know he's not in great shape...

Rubio, rubio, rubio. Could have been down in the dumps about his shot. Nope. He just didn't get the memo from Love that tonight was an off night. Most complete player on the team easily. From attitude to intangibles, he's the biggest contributor on the team right now (only because my savior Webster isn't back yet!!)

D-Charge looked good in the first half. Let's trade him for Favors and CJ Miles!

I don't know, it seems to me like this is about what to expect. A few wins, a few losses, it is what it is. The team has no consistent defense, which was a problem these last two games. There are too many holes on that side of the ball. Luke's max effort is fine but it's not sustainable so his normal production on that end is below average. Same for Wes and Love, except for those two it's effort and smarts rather than physical limitations. Shitty rebounding by Love = loss. Nobody else in the front court rebounds it well enough.

Horrible defense in the second half and at the end of the game and they missed a lot of open shot at the end of the game. The Jazz have some tough players. Love definitely did not have his legs under him. His shots were short or flat. Rubio was fantastic but the other guys weren't making shots at the end of the game.

Earl Watson has such a chip on his shoulder. Saw the replay of him trying to slap the ball out of Dirk's hands in a previous game. Commentators nedd to keep in perspective previous Kansas City street thugs and NBA basketball players!

Great post and very solid K-Lav sentiments.

Also, Love is shooting waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many 3's this year. Yeah, it's cool that he is a PF who can make 3's, but he's letting it distract from what makes him a good player.

He's shooting 35% from 3, and 41% overall this year. Brutal. He's also attempting FIVE 3's per game. That is way too much from someone who is shooting poorly. He'd be much better off if he learned some post moves, as Daddy said.
