Or he can become a FA in 3 years and go play wherever he wants. Yeah, he'll give up some money but he won't need money at that point.

Even if he's hurt and retires, he can stay on the Wolves for the 4th year and still gets paid that last season.

Doesn't K Love seem like the type of guy to recruit other players? I think so. So now that he's here the Wolves have that. Love and Rubio are going to be the reason KG finishes his career here next year along with our big move for Eric Gordon.

Needs to be a really good vet that would fit perfectly (someone like Iggy or Granger)... otherwise it would need to be a younger guy that can "grow together" with Love and Rubio. I would think Mayo or Batum would fit the bill there. They obviously aren't as good as Iggy or Granger. At least, not yet.

See....it should in principle do that, but it's fail that this is the motivation. Kahn should have done SOMETHING long ago when he had 5x the assets. Too many squandered opportunities and cap space lies and moving goal posts and other bullshit.

In a perfect world we'd be fans of a better organization that is constantly trying to get better and put together a winning team. In that scenario, 5 years would be much better than 3. Sadly, we are fans of the wolves. If they claimed their #1 priority has always been to win, it would be a huge lie. The 3 year K-Lav countdown clock helps solve that.

I could see Taylor being in on this failure. He was on the Board of Governors and a big proponent for needing this harsh new CBA with shorter contracts. So of course he wouldn't want to turn around a month later and give out a new super max 5 year deal.

A couple of days have gone, and we have to consider:
One guy, that is top 3 at his position right now, has RESIGNED with us.
We have now 2 top5er in our squad. And they haven't really played a long time together...
