Well, after shooting like 80% against Houston what did we expect? Should have known the law of averages would result in a sub 40% shooting night. At least T Pain hit the first field goal in the 4th for 4 TPs!!!

Worst game of the year. Boring and super long. I brought someone tonight who had not been to a TWolves game in TEN YEARS. Not worried. Inhumane, well played game from Hermione.

My one rant topic before tuning into Clippers/Jazz:

I am getting absolutely fed up with the "im ok with poor starts as long as we finish well" argument. It sounds nice and true , but it's a fail argument. The Wolves started ok in the 1st quarter (as soon as Wes and Darko checked out..it was an obvious correlation) but the starting unit was again putrid/awful to start the 2nd half. People who use this argument are not understanding that the Wolves have to literally scrap for almost every win, and poor starts significantly effect the overall flow and momentum of the game. It is COMPLETELY out of line for Adelman to continue starting Wes and Darko. They make 1 good play for every 7 mind boggling, terrible plays. It is inexcusable. They are awful and liabilities almost all around. Pek deserves 30+ minutes at center depending on fouls.

Wes can't hit a shot to save his life. Darko just tosses up the hooks without assessing his position on the basket or angling the ball to an a good spot on the rim. I can safely say that these guys are making a significant, negative impact every second they are on the floor.

Aside from them Barea killed any run we could have made at the end of the 3rd. Awful game for him tonight. He'll bounce back. Beasley was back to old Beasley with his terrible baseline shot selection. Still have good hopes for him off the bench.

Tough opponent. Oh well. Kill New Jersey. Stop shooting so poorly at home. Keep the bandwagoners on board. And for &*^(s sakes when a 4-beers in WW is ready to drop $20 bucks on a size Large Minnesota Muskies t-shirt...HAVE THEM AVAILABLE. And Klondike bars if you are going to saturate fans with in arena promotions.

My God.

What a sh*t show the lockout has made the NBA. No team is very good. It's just ugly basketball more often than not. 3/4ths of the teams are as inconsistent as the Wolves.

i agree whole heartedly that part of the reason we get off to such a slow start is Adelman's fixation of starting Wes and Darko...He needs to get over it

Also shouldn't that be a technical on Pacers coach for running onto the court to hold back Granger? no timeout was called
That's not how it works for coaches. They want them to hold back players and whatnot so that fights and arguments don't escalate into something worse.

It's only the players that can't come off the benches.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Ellington is more like a 10 minute role player. Actually he should be sitting at the end of the bench and get playing time in the case of injuries/foul trouble/switch things up. It's just that the wolves wings are so bad he's a rotation guy here.
Ellington, Wes, and Brad Miller should all be DNP-CD's. At least, I'd rather have them not playing than Randolph or Tolliver.

sigh..horrible game.

Yep, Wes and Darko are horrible. Starting them kills everybody's game, especially Rubio. Rubio plays well with a different unit because they run and jump better. Rubio can't even run with the starters because no one can run or get open except Love. Ridinour is small, Love is good, Darko is slow as heck and when he does get the ball right in front of the rim, he can't make the shot, Wes is confuse, running with his feet pointing in all the wrong directions. You could see it every time Rubio gets the ball and try to run but then have to stop because everyone is slow.

To be honest, the NBA has more or less sucked pretty bad this year. Other than a handful of teams/star players, it's been pretty tough to watch most of the time.

Well that game was crap.

37% shooting.

17% 3PT shooting.

16 turnovers.

The end.

Couldn't agree more with you about the lockout. The large number of significant injuries so far this year is clear evidence of that. The other day, I had four injury designations out of my 14 players in a fantasy league - probably should have been showing 1-2 more. Cramming so many games into such short time periods only adds to the problem.

Sorry daddy, but the truth is that Barea sucked in this game.

What's wrong with our coach? Wes and Darko getting 20 min but Derrick just 10. Don't tell me that fat ass is worser then them daddy.

Rubio showing why he can't be compared with Nash yet.

Yeah, as I ranted about above, starting these guys let alone giving them minutes is starting to be a huge problem. Darko is obviously valuable defensively against longer C's, but surprisingly Hibbert gets most of his shots on mid range jumpers, so Pek would have played him just fine. All you need to do is be there to contest with a guy like him. Which we weren't.

1/3 of the season is more than enough of a chance. It's admirable of Adelman to not give up on the guys and see if something is still there, but enough is enough. From here on out I consider it inexcusable.

Pretty surprising the Pacers are so good when practically their entire offense is mid range jumpers (and Danny Granger free throws last night in particular).

And for such a rough, dirty team like the Pacers, this should have been Pek's game to be the true intimidator. He should have played most of the game.

Sure, Barea was bad, he's been out for two weeks and this disaster of a schedule doesn't allow him to practice at all.

Obviously D-Charge is better than Wes. Start him.
