Scola hasa reputation of being a flopper. In review of the play Love swiped at the ball in Scola's hands stripping the ball away..looked clean. Scola's reaction was spinning to his right and to the floor as though he had been knocked down by KLove. A bang, bang play. On the floor, on his back at KLove's feet, Scola attempts to protect his face by putting his arms up as Love is attempting to go over Scola. Had Scola stayed on the floor Love would have cleared Scola with no problem. But Scola's hands coming up blocked the left leg of Love and KLove had no choice but to plant his left foot where Scola's hand and forearms had directed it. Had KLove done this malice he'd probably would have glared or stood over Scola, but no, KLove was following the ball movement to his offensive end of the court. KLove should appeal this and expose it for what it was. Scola flopped under the feet of Love and his ensueing reaction interfered with Love's freedom of movement. Scola is no Rodney King victim, he's a flopper!
Jeebus man. I'm done with this after this post, because it's not a big deal. But quickly - K Love all but admitted to giving him a Love tap Hoopnuts. Clearly he also fouled him which is why Scola ended up on the ground. It's not unheard of for even the best basketball players in the history of the game to a) foul players and b) make decisions they later regret. Just move on, it's not a big deal. But don't absolve him from what he did. He gave him a Love tap on his chest in retaliation for frustration at not getting what he thought should have been fouls. You've got to try to be a bit more objective man. This doesn't take basketball knowledge to figure out, but rather just objectivity - you can manage the latter.
