Like I said, I didn't see the play - not even a replay. My comments were based on Love's statements regarding the incident. Thanks for the explanation.

It was a step, but it wasn't a "kick" or a "stomp" like the officials made it sound. Scola was spazzing out and then flailed like it was an atrocity afterward.

Scola is definitely on my list of villains of humanity.

That being said, Love definitely could have stepped somewhere else and put his foot down on Scola, he deserved a suspension but 2 games was a lot for that.

Marc Stein notes here that Love went out for a drink with Scola after the game and cleared the air. Love handled this pretty well. Smart dude, cleaning up after himself.

I imagine they sipped martinis in their skinny jeans while Scola hung out, chest hairs peeking out over his slightly-too-many-buttons-undone, skin tight & white dress shirt, looking for young girls to impress.
