It is almost mind-blowing to me how different and improved the atmosphere at Target Center is these days. Last night was so much fun. Having my dad tell me "that was awesome" as we were leaving Target Center last night gave me great joy.

A guy was added to each of my all-star starting teams last night. One guy was added altogether, and one guy was promoted from bench to starter.

Team: The Bad Body Language All-Stars
Player: Darko Milicic.
He moved up from bench player to starter and star. Dude, you guys, Darko's body language last night was UNREAL. He literally sat almost the entire game with both his arms and legs crossed, while leaning way far back in his seat at the end of the bench. He was basically laying down while sitting, and acting as disinterested as humanly possible. But halftime was the real cincher. He came out all by himself about a minute after everyone else was already out shooting around. He refused to even jog during halftime. He went through the layup line twice (cuz that's all the time that was left by the time he strolled to join the rest of the squad. Both times on the rebounding end, he didn't even bother to grab the board. The one time he was on the layup side, he took two walking steps, and shot a 3. He literally didn't even jog the whole halftime. He then went to the bench before everyone else too. He is now dead to me.

Team: The Corey Maggette All-Stars (guys who are crazy ripped in person)
Player: Andre Igoudala
Wow this guy is a specimen. He looks like a display at Bodyworks or something. Not just his arms, but his legs too are so defined that it is almost weird. It's like you can see every line. What a beast. Sorry, Ben Gordon, your spot as a starter has been taken.

During the 2nd quarter, they played this thing on the big screen where they played an NSync song and showed various Wolves singing to it. Beasley part was so funny, the whole crowd was rolling, and even almost the whole team stopped to watch and were laughing it up. Hard to describe it in typing, but Beasley was hilarious.

SILENT ABABU was up in the suites.

JaRule Holiday is so quick. And explosive. He really impressed me. Evan Turner acts like a weirdo. Kurt Rambis is on Sportscenter right now. You know nothing. Mute.

That was the type of gritty, ugly, hard-fought disciplined win that a Wolves team would've lost almost every time in the past several years. Philly is disciplined and well coached. They play tough D. Our shots weren't falling. We committed many more turnovers. K. Love couldn't make anything in the 1st 3 quarters. Yet we stuck around, played hard and focused, and pulled it off in the end. Awesome. This team has completely exceeded my expectations thus far this year. Just the fact that we are in the playoff race, with a .500 record in late February is mind blowing. Two months ago I would've laughed my butt off if someone would have told me that.

What a season so far. Keep it up boys. This is fun.

PS can anyone who speaks Darko-language (?) confirm the translation here? Or was it not nearly as bad as translated?

Dude, sooooo awesome post. I really miss reports/musings like this directly from TC. Great stuff and a huge HOWL to you!
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Let's all chip in and pay for his plane ticket. And then get another ticket so that Flash can come here and teach us how to play pickup basketball.

They would both be money well spent if you ask me.

I've never minded Darko on the defensive end, but the he is way too slow to play the uptempo game Adelman likes to run...Dude gets gassed in a matter of 3 minutes on the floor...

It sound even worse in our language, Darko was really pissed off here, but this is pretty fair translation.
Last Edit: 1 year 3 months ago by Peković.

Thanks, man! Worse? I can't imagine, it's pretty filthy in English.

Yeah. Pekovic is right. It sounds even worse in his language because you can't translate directly what he said into english.
