Pek is playing. They'll need him. They'll need solid defensive and rebounding efforts from the bigs and wings to keep Bynum and Gasoft in check. They haven't done so yet, but hopefully they can get it done for one game.
Ricky, we need you to shoot 50% tonight, no room for error young homie.
Wes and Webster...do your best on Kobe. Make him work on D. Just don't do anything to piss him off.
I'm more worried about Gasol and Bynum than Kobe, Wes always plays him tough. Which makes no sense since, you know... If you can guard Kobe tough, why can't you guard everybody?
Love just needs to put a hand in GaySoft's face. He hit the mid range all day long the last two meetings. That's really all he seems to do in LA now with Bynum finally playing injury free.
Speaking of Bynum, not much we can do other than try to put a body on him and provide strong help. He plays like Shaq against the Wolves. Good thing Pek is playing and Darko should get some defensive minutes (a good thing against this particular team. It's too bad the crowd will boo him when he misses his shots and not notice the sound defense he will probably play tonight).
I'm hoping Kobe shoots the Lakers out of the game and doesn't do the right thing: dump it to Bynum on every 4th quarter possession. After losses against Detroit and Washington, I'm thinking we'll see 30+ shot tonight from Bean. If I had to pick my poison between Bynum getting 10-15 shots in the 2nd half or Kobe, I pick Kobe.
