In happier news Ricky is scheduled to undergo surgery March 21st...Good news because I was expecting the swelling to run into April which would mean it would take longer...So this certainly increases the chances he'll be ready to go by the Season opener, if not a month or so after
There's no chance in hell Rubio is back for the season opener. ACL no matter how much the medical field has advanced is still a serious injury. AP tore his back in December and he might be lucky enough to play in September. If I was GM Peterson would be on the PUP list and playing week 7 so he is 100% healthy. Recovery is somewhere around 8-12 months and i'd lean more towards 10 months. Rubio will be lucky to be playing before new year's, but probably somewhere around February
No way, it really depends on how hard he works. Football is way more difficult of an injury to recover from than basketball with the pounding you take, especially a running back..And in AP's case he tore more than his ACL if I recall. If I look at the example being David West, he had surgery to repair his ACL in Mid April of last season and was back on the court when league play resumed on December 26th, so roughly an 8th month recovery, and he probably would've been able to play earlier...So it really depends
