Sucks for those fans, and adds a little context over the Chris Mullin Night disaster. Our Wolves have been awfully jinxed in their history, but this seems almost unprecedented. What do you think?

...and yes, David Kahn is mentioned in the article. Anything that has to do with something being screwed up in the NBA has to include a Kahn reference.

Haha yeah, they've certainly had it bad, no doubt about that. Still, they've won a title though. For us, drafting KG and 1 good run in the playoffs is literally all we've had for over 20 years.

I think he went a bit too far with the 20/20 hindsight. He basically points out every decent player in every draft, as if they should have known to take all of them. They have made some really horrible trades though, that part amazed me.

The thing that would kill me as a fan is how they seem to continually blow it up every time they get a taste of success. I think that was the primary culprit for the crap that went down on CM night. They had a pretty sweet pair of guards with Ellis & Flynn Curry, and -poof- it's gone for no apparent reason.

I'd like to see Simmons do a piece like that on the Wolves. I'm sure it would be close, just not for as long of a duration as the Warriors. Between getting hosed in the lottery every single time, getting hosed with who they pick in the draft almost every time, getting stabbed in the back by Marbury, the Joe Smith fiasco, the Malik Sealy tragedy, giving up on Billups too soon, handing the keys to the offense to crap PGs like Troy Hudson, needlessly throwing in first round picks when they make trades, coach after coach after coach, etc. Pretty brutal stuff.
