Yea for what we can offer, there is no chance that Portland doesn't match. I wouldn't even waste my time tying up our cap space trying to get Batum. We should go for Mayo instead, because at the right price I think Memphis would be willing to let him leave.

What about a winning vet that can shoot ala Ray Allen or Jason Terry (both unrestricted free agents). Or is that completely unrealistic?

Brian Scalabrine!

no but I don't think new york will let fields walk.
and Batum is like Wes to me, so I wouldn't waste money
I say Ray Allen is too old but I choose him over Terry

I can't see them not going to contenders unless we offered them an insane amount of money. RayRay could end up on the Bulls. My guess is that Terry is back with the Mavs since Dwight Howard isn't going to be a free agent.

We talked about Ray Ray to the Bulls two off-seasons ago before he resigned with the Celtics. That needs to happen for them. They desperately need a SG, and he'd be an absolute perfect fit on that team bombing wide-open 3's all game long.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Ray has said numerous times he wants to retire a Celtic. I would be surprised if he doesn't. Ainge seems like he is going to hold onto those three until they are walking in walkers. Who knows what Garnett will do. Hard to see him leaving Boston, either. I highly doubt he goes to New Jersey in a rebuilding situation per the rumor last week.

Like Roundhouse's OJ Mayo idea. Forgot he was a RFA. He is a very realistic target. Will we have much capspace? If Eric Gordon stays in New Orleans, I'm betting Mayo ends up in Indy though. They have long coveted him and have the space.

And yes, even thinking about Batum is laughable. No chance. Unless they trade him for D Will or something. Net an asset and maintain the cap room. Too bad D Will is a PF like LMA, otherwise it could have been a decent option.

No, we don't think he will. We are just saying that he SHOULD. It would be a perfect situation for him, and perfect for the Bulls.

Is Rivers any good? His stock has dropped dramatically. Are we liking him because he was the #1 pick in mocks for the past year? Hype reason? I haven't seen him play much. Probably a good pick at 16 regardless (if we get the pick)?

Prediction: Alonzo Gee signing.

What about Kirilenko? Playing in Russia this season due to lockout. Vet, defensive guy. Getting old but still can play.

Looked at his Wikipedia page. I had no idea he made the All-Star team once.

I think he might not be that good. At least, not anytime soon in the NBA. He definitely should stay in college.

Wouldn't know. I, like many NBA fans, only pretend to follow the NCAA and use YouTube highlights and last name coolness to evaluate college players. Let's let Kahn figure that out, he is the expert here.
