Bobcats broadcast highlighted the pre-game Sikma-Silas '79 Seattle Super Sonic championship reunion conversation with photos. Since this was not yet the '80's I was greatly disappointed seeing the Sikma straight hair.

I would rather have Brad Miller bring it up than Wesley...

I would like to apologize, however. After the first one I yelled at him so much I had to have completely destroyed his confidence for the second disaster dribble attempt. People rise to your expectations, often. We have to be nice to him and his confidence will increase

Yeah, it's a shame he doesn't have more mental toughness.

I was wondering when Ridnour became Luke instead of Puke, so I did a Twolvesblog search of "Puke."

January was full of "Puke."

February only had 3 "Pukes."

"Puke" showed up twice in March...before I distorted the stats by bringing it up now.

One of the most frustrating guys from last year and early this year has joined Love as one of the players we can count on from game to game.

I give most of the credit to Rubio. He showed him how to play point guard, get others involved and throw a bounce pass.

I remember there was a time earlier in the season (January-February?) when I noticed Luke was trying to emulate what Rubio was doing, but he couldn't pull it off consistently. Now, I don't see those "almost" plays. He's become a much better point guard. Plus he is a tough little sucker.

Any other thoughts on his improvement?

One final thought:

We gotta love any night when the Wolves win and Denver, Utah and Phoenix lose!

Daddy - ....thank you for that. Bonk is going to go ballistic when he reads your recap.

Wolves win...Jazz/Nuggets lose. We gained a full game last night. Wolves have quite the favorable schedule to round out the year. Hoping Pek is available for Boston. Playoffs are definitely still 'possible.'

Wolfenstein would be proud: While he won't win it, KLove is definitely now in the MVP "discussion" among the pundits if you have been paying attention.

Wolves need to get a top 3 record in the West for that to ever happen, though. If he puts up these statlines and the Wolves get to that point ever (questionable with Kahn behind the helm, sadly) then he has as good of a chance as anyone to win the award at some point in his career.

Do we have a hall-of-famer on our hands?

Okay, first my thoughts in bullet point format... And I will get to that epic DaddyFatSax response later. That was one of the best at the game recaps ever. Which reminds me - WallyWorld: You sat in that crazy fan section for the New Orleans game... I wanted to hear some stuff about what that experience was like. Anyway...

-Tod Murphy's son is right. Luke Ridnour has been wildly reliable this year. I take back anything bad I ever said about him, and will never refer to him as Puke again. He's also a steady, stable, veteran presence (much needed) by all accounts.

- K. Love is an absolute MEAST. Seriously, he just does work all night. His scoring prowess and touch is so fantastic right now. Craftiness X a trillion.

- Jim Pete comparing K. Love > KG sickens me. There is no need to distract from a money K. Love game by bringing up such comparisons and going on and on about them.

- This is nitpicky compared to how absolutely beastley his game was, but I really can't stand it when kLove does his stop & complain to the refs instead of run back on D routine. He even did it once or twice last night, not to complain to refs, but just to sulk about missed shots. That said, he single hanidly won this game so I'll stfu.

- Corey Maggette has been an underrated stud his whole career and it only continues. Yawn.

- The Caged Lion looks bad lately. I am starting to be convinced that he will never be a solid starter in this league. He can't guard 4's. Not even close. He can't keep up with 3's. He seems like a 7th man more than a starter to me. He can't matchup with anyone, and is better suited for a 2nd unit/transistion/energy setting.

- Wes bringing the ball up = classic LOL moments.

- Tolliver with another fantastic blue collar game.

- Daddy's comments on Paul Silas and the other fans just killed me. I need to re-read his post like 3 times throughout the day today, great stuff.

So we proceeded to walk out and then out of nowhere the fat old lady comes busting through again and runs up to me screaming “WE WON!” with her arms out. I was terrified and put my hands up for a high five…but to no avail. She brought it in for a hug…a big sweaty hug…and it smelled like old vagina and CVS.

Yeah Jim Pete was over the top with the Garnett stuff. You really just can't compare the two because their games are so dissimilar.

Whether you want to believe it or not, Garnett always had reasonably quality players around him, while Love has had complete garbage teammates almost ALL-AROUND...and still does. As soon as Garnett was surrounded with Blount and Ricky Davis and the post-2004 low-impact clown show...it sorta fell apart and we never made the playoffs. People really tend to overlook this. And this is why I am very worried about having Kahn stick around. There is no reason to believe this will change and that Kahn will surround Love with the support he needs.

However, impossible to replace the intensity/defensive impact. Impossible to replace the character/dude. A lot of it is nostalgia. But...let's enjoy these next 3 years of Love before he leaves. The same thing is currently happening.

You just can't or shouldn't compare the 2 at this point. That is all I'm saying. K. Love is still way too early in his career. Jim Pete tainted my viewing experience by continually making Garnett comparisons. It wasn't neccesary. Typical media these days, always jumping the gun on things and trying to call hot players/teams/games the "best ever".

Oh...the Los Locos section! Man, I really wish I had more positives to report. I feel like it was the wrong game to go to and sit there. Would probably be MUCH more fun for a different opponent, (I think Boston would be stellar) so take this in that context. Some highlights:

- Tickets are available for all home games. Send a twitter message to Jeff Munneke and get the hook up. Anyone can sit there with ease. I think. You can't buy the tix in advance I'm pretty sure. They are all free...first come first serve. I even was able to sell my season ticket seats for $30 total outside the arena. (AKA: 6x more than what I paid for them. AKA part 2: I renewed for next season for $375, center court upper level for 2 seats the entire season. Epic win. Ill bet the ticket staff is cringing that people in my situation can get seasons for that price).

Anyways:
-You have to stand the entire game. I sorta liked this aspect. Just wear comfortable shoes of course. More on shoes in a bit.
-The vantage point is the worst in the arena...high LL baseline. Keep this in mind. I always find it very difficult to engage in the game from this vantage point for some reason. I even sat on the floor under the hoop for a Rocket's game. Was awesome sitting so close and I have some excellent stories from that night, but I yet again couldn't engage without seeing the whole floor.
-Crazy, fun, fans, but they are more so the 16-22 demographic. I felt old at the tender age of 26.
-They send out an e-mail before every home game (which I now get each game) with the costume theme and a summary of the chants they do. I'll try to dig it up and post one. Kinda cool.
-Those celebrity face cut outs are on the chairs before the game. People don't bring them from home. The Wolves staff made them which is funny/cool.
-There are a lot of chants they do I never noticed/put 2-and-2 together. Pek has his own chant when he scores for example. I forgot what it is. There are cues for each chant.
-My experience was sorta tempered because I was sitting/standing next to a real douche. I had a beer (a good IPA I think...since they only serve Coors and Mich Golden in the upper level to the poor vagrants) sitting in the cupholder in front of me. At TC they are at an angle and inches from the floor. Since it was the Hornets game and a frustrating game, at one point I smacked the chair in front of me in disgust. Probably a Luke turnover or something. Well, literally 1 or two DROPS of beer fell from the cup and onto the guy's shoes. These weren't Italian Leather loafers or anything. I think just a pair of worn Sketchers or some shit. Probably cost $40 at Marshall's. He has the audacity to tap on my shoulder, stare me down and say "watch it dude." I was flummoxed/confused/had no response. People like him make the fan experience worse. It's the 'crazy section!'
-You won't feel weird if you don't wear the costume theme of the game. But I'd wear Wolves gear at the very least. As I have run into Bonk multiple times pre-game this season, I wouldn't dress to your usual 9's my friend, should you get tickets.

-In summary - I'd try it. Kind of felt old. Wear Wolves gear. Be wary of douchebags. Go to a game we could win or a fun opponent. Don't go when the Hornets or Bobcats come to town.

Exactly. I can get mentioning it every now and again for good discussion...but I feel like it was his theme of the game. I think he brought it up 3-4 times in multiple quarters.

Something more appropriate to bring up in 4-5 years.

OUCH!!! What the hell? I guess that jersey retirement day is pretty FAR away...
KG probably knows he's going to trash talk only one round in the playoffs, so whatever he had prepared for later, he has to let out now.

I got a kick out of this one.

So the tickets are actually FREE?! Wow. That section adds a lot to the games - it is actually really cool that they have it. I am also surprised and impressed that the Wolves organization themselves makes the awesome cutouts of Sid Hartman's face and whatnot.

Even though I'm a little grown for this, I agree, I should do it once. It seems like something that every diehard Wolves fan should take part of at least one time.

Who is with me?! College Wolf? We could get real boozed beforehand if that would help you :P
