I got a kick out of this one.

So the tickets are actually FREE?! Wow. That section adds a lot to the games - it is actually really cool that they have it. I am also surprised and impressed that the Wolves organization themselves makes the awesome cutouts of Sid Hartman's face and whatnot.

Even though I'm a little grown for this, I agree, I should do it once. It seems like something that every diehard Wolves fan should take part of at least one time.

Who is with me?! College Wolf? We could get real boozed beforehand if that would help you :P

Yeah I'd totally do it again sometime. Only like 7 or 8 games left though. I'm not sure the formal process of getting the tickets though.

I think they have to make them free/give them away because if they were in the 'regular' ticket market people would buy them and not know they were in the crazy section. Wouldn't participate, wouldnt want to stand, get beer spilled on them by me, etc.

And I didn't feel old cheering and being rowdy by any means. It was more so a general observation of the age group.

Again, I was there in what was probably the worst possible game to attend this season. Game after Rubio was out, awful opponent with zero notable players, we lost, etc. I'm guessing if you can get your hands on Boston or a Lakers/Clipper game next year it would be superb fun.

Ha, what some of us were saying waaaaaay back before we even drafted him... ;)
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

You just can't or shouldn't compare the 2 at this point. That is all I'm saying. K. Love is still way too early in his career. Jim Pete tainted my viewing experience by continually making Garnett comparisons. It wasn't neccesary. Typical media these days, always jumping the gun on things and trying to call hot players/teams/games the "best ever".
Frickin Jim Pete. Ugh. I hate to hear that he was sayin that nonsense last night. Very not cool at all.

It's waaaaaaaaaay too early.

I hope you are wrong about that, but it IS currently happening. And Kahn clearly isn't the GM to surround K-Lav with talent. Kahn is the freaking worst. No wonder why Love wanted a shorter deal. I guess I can't really blame him...

Dude, awesome. Thanks for that huge recap! I want to try it, for sure. At least once... what can it hurt? And if it's free, then all the better!

For the 9th vs Phoenix....?????? So we just Tweet Munnueke? Like when? That day? The night before? Or perhaps even earlier?

I guess what I meant is Love is turning into this caliber of player before our eyes. He just needs some better teammates. Wolves have some ok role players, but they just aren't good enough. Rubio being out has made this all the more clear.

Garnett had a lot of good players around him over the years and I think people sort of forget this aspect of the '96-'03 Wolves, especially when you compare the roster to the post-WCF year.

Really? Because throughout all of those years, all we ever heard was how KG had no good players on his squad. Yet he STILL elevated the team to 50+ wins year in and year out. So who were these lots of good players KG had with him from 96-03? Starting shooting guard Anthony Peeler? One dimensional Wally Sczerbiak? I don't see K. Love putting us up past 50 wins with the type of supporting cast Garnett had anytime soon.

Stop saying stuff like that all the time, it's driving me crazy! You don't even watch college basketball!

A common, cliche'd refrain. Let's be realistic, now. Tom Gugliotta, Stephon Marbury, Sam Cassell, Latrell Sprewell, Terrell Brandon, one dimensional but effective Wally when healthy, Sealy for a year, T Hud was good at one point even, Billups, among others. 3 all-stars in total + Marbury and Sprewell and some decent role players.

In other words, all guys who were at the time part of a consistent team competing for the playoffs. Take those guys away and replace them with Mark Blount, Mike James and Ricky Avis? What happened? 3 years of non-playoff Wolves basketball. In fact, bottom 7 in the league basketball for 2 of those 3 seasons. But many fans never seem to remember/conveniently overlook this part of his career here.

Kevin Love: Al for a couple years before he blew up....and a woefully inefficient Beasley, and finally Rubio and Pek and suddenly we are doing ok (not a coincidence). Who else? Wayne Ellington? Anthony Tolliver? Darko Milicic? Wes Johnson? Martell Webster?

It is a giant factor.

And I'm not attempting to defame Garnett by any means. His times here were the best and I openly acknowledge that. He is absolutely the best Wolf of all time (at least for now). I'm just pointing out that he had a vastly superior supporting cast during the winning years (even if it was sub par in hindsight). Love has had no one. And now Kahn has no assets to get the supporting cast he needs. It's a typical bad-franchise/great player formula unfolding before our very eyes once again.

That's what I did. I did it for Boston too and scored seats in that section tonight. I did it yesterday so a few days in advance should be good. Maybe do it now for the PHO game?

Yes. I am game. It's also on ESPN2, which is good for 2 reasons. 1: We could get some TV facetime. 2. More time to pre-party.
