Wow that's some of the worst officiating I've ever seen. It was so sad I couldn't even watch it. Pretty much just fast forwarded through the entire 4th quarter. Shrug.

I like all the teams left except the cHeat, but I just want to see good, fair games being played. The refs are doing waaaaay too much to influence all these semifinal games.

Other than the Cap'n Jack technical I thought the officiating was fine last night. In the 4th quarter the Spurs were getting desperate and trying to pull out all the stops (holding, very illegal moving screens, etc). The refs had to call most of those, like the Ginobili pick on the Leonard baseline 3.

To say you fast forwarded through that entertaining 4th quarter because of the refs is just silly and sad.

If it happens, bet all your money on the Celtics. Because there's no imaginable universe I can foresee where Kendrick Perkins has more championship rings than Kevin Garnett.

Ya'll put too much stock in them damn rings. Perkins also has more than Malone and Barkley, so what.

I can see the Celtics taking it to 6 games-ish and bowing out gracefully to the Thunda dynasty. The cHeat, who knows. I give up trying to figure out that team.

Cap'n Jack is my favorite wing in the NBA. That is all.

AHAHA. Ma dude. Sign him and MWP immediately.

That boy played his ass off. Hats off to him. Shit, hats off to Timmy D. Physically, I can't imagine how exhausted he was having to deal with Perkins and Ibaka every possession. That man laid it out there. I wish he wouldn't have alluded to coming back. I really just want him and KG to ride out on these waves of positivity. Watching Duncan's game erode any more is going to be painful. Hang em up after this decent post-season performance Timmy D. Respect.

Manu, way to not show up. You balding clown. Get ready to end your career in MN when the Wolves trade Derrick Williams for you.

Tony Parker. Hats off, but you have no stamina, or else got scared in the second half. Does he have a backup? He needs a player like Ridnour to back him up. Ridnour for Tiago. Done.

I am not happy that Derek Fisher is riding yet another wave to the finals. First, he sucks at being a player rep/president/whatever he is. Second, he forced his way out of Utah using his daughter as an excuse. Glad she is better now (or was by the time he won his ring with LA) but getting out that contract just to sign with LA had nothing to do with your daughter. Third, forced his way from Houston and got to OKC. Screw him. If other players followed their union prez's lead, the league would be a mess.

Stop riding the nuts of OKC's crowd. What else is there to do there? The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum closes at 7 so it's either go watch the Thunda or hang out at a dive bar. Of course the crowd is awesome, they got sh*t else to do.

Harden, you got a chance to redeem yourself in the finals. Your flopping is not sitting well with the Daddy, in case you care. Do that soft biatch flopping sh*t again and I'll be photoshopping you on Manu's pictures.

If OKC beats Miami/Boston, I am done rooting for them and I will officially be in asshole jealousy mode. 3 years ago they were horrendous. So jealous.

The worst is everyone on their nuts saying how "GREAT!!!1" their rebuilding plan was. Ugh.
It’s tempting to view the Thunder as the pinnacle of a well managed franchise. That’s simply not the truth. The very key to their success was luck. Picking Durant did not require good management. Every team with the #2 pick in the 2007 draft would have done the same. What’s more, their track record of picking correctly (Westbrook over Love) and playing the right players (Green over Ibaka) is sketch. The Thunder have made some good moves and I will say they have been better than an average franchise. The problem is we are lured by the results and not the decisions themselves. The biggest factor in the Thunder’s success is luck and unfortunately it is neither constructive or reliable advice to tell franchises to luck into a superstar.

Daddy's post was awesome. So much in there.

BatManu for Derrick Williams. Interesting. Does Emanuel have enough left in the tank to make it worth our while?

Ridnour for Tiago. Also interesting. Daddy is on fire. Did you guys see Pop just lighting into Splitter in the 3rd last night. Wow he was going HAM. Then he yanked Blair just as quick right after that - I bet he was all up on him too. I almost fired up the comp quick to go to that 4 screen Overdrive or whatever it's called to try & see it. Any of you guys used that? It looks cool (if my computer wasn't 5 years old and about 200 degrees).

Fisher pisses me off. The Utah thing was sheisty. The Houston thing was so poor. And he is supposed to represent all of the players? Bad example. Derek Fisher will now be in more NBA Finals than Kobe. Oh boy.

"The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum closes at 7 so it's either go watch the Thunda or hang out at a dive bar." LOL Daddy en fuego.

Anyone else think the Thunder celebrated too much? I did, but enh I don't want to be a hater. Good for them. I just kept waiting for one of them to say this was not the goal, we aren't in celebration mode yet, etc...but from what I saw it didn't happen.

Perk v. KG in the Finals would be so strange.

This series is definitely schizoid! I can't, for the life of me, figure out which one of these teams is trying hardest to NOT move on to the Finals.

Frankly, after their win the other day in Miami, I fully expected the Celtics to close out this thing in MSG. Of course, I expected Miami to take the 3-2 lead in the ECF two days ago!

After being able to more closely watch the end of the WCF and the ECF games this past week, I have to say that I think OKC can beat either Miami or Boston. The way they came back from down 0-2 to win 4 straight was pretty amazing.

Let's face it, San Antonio was looking pretty formidable in putting together that 20-game win streak, not to mention their record over about the last 6 weeks. They definitely seemed to be on "a mission from God!"

Then, the Thunder added some lightening! Every time it appeared SA was about to close out a game, OKC would (sorry!) come thundering back!

So, what's the predicted outcome of this game and series? Are the last 3 games of the series to be won by the visitor?

If LeBron keeps on like this, he'll score about 55! If Boston could have slowed him down - something that seems highly unlikely at this point in the game - they could have closed this out tonight. Nobody else has done much for the Heat tonight.

If it's OKC vs Miami in the finals, I will die a little on the inside. I guess I'd want OKC to win by default, but probably wouldn't even watch it. Nor would I watch it the next 10 years in a row when they rematch.

@roundhouse: So, do like OKC over either Miami or Boston?

Which one do you think will finally win this thing? I don't have a favorite one way or the other, but I really have to wonder about which one of these two wants it least!

Boston goes to Miami and emabarrasses them at home. Miami goes to Boston and returns the favor. Can Miami hold onto the momemtum or not?

Just for grins, I'm going to pick the Celtics. Don't have any reason why, in particular. Guess I'll go with: "Wouldn't it be nice for Garnett, Pierce and Allen to get into the Finals one more time?"

Yeah, I can be a sentimentalist. For instance, I think that one of the world's greatest injustices is that Ernie Banks never got to play in a World Series. Maybe the NBA equivalent of that would be Steve Nash.

The Thunder will be favored against either team, so I guess I'd pick them to win it all.

Hope the Celtics at least make it somehow, but they look done. Too injured and tired.

Thanks, CW! Yeah, considering how OKC came back on SA, you would think they would be the favorites to take it all.

SA had better role players than Boston. Duncan/Manu/Parker or KG/Rondo/Pierce? Doesn't seem to be a huge difference there. So, OKC does to Boston what it did to SA, only faster because Boston has gotten worn out in just getting to the Finals.

Miami has LeBron and, sometimes, Wade. Once or twice, guys like Haslem or Chalmers have stepped up, but nothing approaching any sort of consistency. OKC might beat Miami worse than they would beat Boston.

I think where the Thunder has impressed me the more is in the way they have kept coming back at the end of the 3rd/beginning of the 4th quarter and just put teams away.

Miami. To be a fan of a team where anything less than a championship is a failed season. I would like to know what that feels like.

Even though it was at the expense of Boston, last night was an indicator that it just MIGHT be time to appreciate LeBron's game a little more. Sorry if that is controversial.

However, as roundhouse said, this is your finals matchup until the 2020's. It might sound like the more fun matchup (LeBron vs. Durant, woohoo!)...but it will get tired very quickly. We could go through two presidential elections before $hit gets different in the NBA.

...unless of course Boston, fingers crossed, pulls off a miracle on Saturday but it is going to be a huge uphill battle.

F*CK this.

I certainly am not going to put money against OKC but I hope Boston gets a shot at them. Miami has no chance to beat OKC.
