I'm really not even hating on the Hummel pick even though we could have easily just got him as a free agent. The draft overall was so boring and espn's coverage sucked.

Where was the Houston trade at? Where was any trade at? Come on NBA if you're not wheeling and dealing during the offseason you're just boring.

There's always a lot more hype than there is actual movement during the NBA Draft

Lol Kahn tried to trade into the 1st round to take Miles Plumlee.

White? Check.
Long? Check.
Athletic? Check.

It would have been a dream come true.

I don't understand (most of) you guys:

We just had the best season (percent-wise) since 2005-06, even higher, than the last season with KG, and you are so darn negative... I don't get it.

There's only possible explanation is, that you trust on the logic of the greek tragedy: The easist way to built an immenent community, is to reassure oneself on a substantial, unchangeable view of the world, by emphazicing a stereotypical reception-mode: lament and shudder (eleos and phobos). Combine this with a force, which you modulate to destiny-likeness (Kahn), and you have a perpetuum mobile of self-reassurance....

This surely works perfectly, but it's so boring. Common guys we live in the 21st century and greek tragedy isn't time accurat anymore... As Friedrich Dürrenmatt already knew:
"Uns kommt nur noch die Komödie bei" (ca.: "For us only comedy still works")...
(but there is difference between comedy and satire, though)

So common, cheer up...

because there really isn't much to be happy about.

Terrible cheap owner
Terrible GM (WAY worse than Mcfail)
No talent on the roster outside of our 3 best players
No tradable assets

Are you really happy about a season that sported a .394 winning percentage?

This franchise has been run into the ground for the past 8 years and it's only getting worse.

we are negative because kahn could have done way way way more then what he did to this point. what HAS he done?!?! sign rubio (and he fell into that), resign love (he didnt draft him), thats IT.

look at all the 1st round picks we have wasted the last 3 years, what a joke.

the thing is, i actually like robbie hummel, and i am completely fine with the pick (even though, yes we could have got him as a FA IMO).

but we missed a chance to use some assets to move up into the draft and get a legit young potential star. hummel is not that guy. he can contribute right away, but we need some raw talent on this team also. and we sat back and did nothing.

also i just thought it was really funny that we got ANOTHER white guy.

"it's only getting worse" ??? Wow.

I would be completely shocked if we were worse next year than a .394 winning percentage. When Rubio started this team was over .500 and a legit playoff contender. I know he won't be up to full speed next year from the start and playing right away, but look what happened with him just being in the line up with no camp and just coming over.

This team is definitely going to be better next year, and we are going to have some enjoyable basketball to watch. I'm excited that we have a real shot to get out of the lottery and back in the playoffs.

We're not at the final roster yet, and stuff is going to be happening even this weekend.

"Kahn, you had the 58th pick in the draft. Why didn't you get a starter out of it last night?!"

Oh that's right, you tried hard to get in the top 5, but no one wanted to give up their pick. And there were teams that probably had better packages to offer than we did and they still couldn't get the job done. And I don't blame Charlotte, Sacramento and Golden State for sticking there and getting good players that fit their needs. I'd have been ticked if I was their fans and they gave up those guys for a bunch of parts. And it sounds like some of the offers could have been for legit starters like D-Will and possibly Harden. The trades just didn't happen for anyone at the top. Hard to just single out Kahn and call him an idiot for that.

Hey, I wish it would have happened, too. I wish Kahn would have blown them away. But it just didn't happen. I do understand our collective frustration. So I am not trying to say Kahn is this great guy. But I can't just look ahead to next season and think we are going to be worse.

AND we all know Kahn is working his plan with picking up two white shooters this week and dumping 3 black guys by tomorrow! B)

Anyway, peace to all and let's see what this weekend brings.

Zgoda writing that really what the Wolves were looking at getting in that Charlotte deal with D-Will was to include the Lakers and get Gasol.

I have a hard time seeing that Gasol is the big acquisition that we should make.

You guys have probably debated this and I missed out, but wondering what you think of that???

I guess he is white and Williams isn't...

Not sure why CW is freaking out...Yesterday was one day. Nobody did anything (like RH said, it was incredibly boring).

If no other dominoes fell (Howard, Deron, etc.) it makes a bit of sense that the Wolves are dormant until free agency stirs up. Not that I expect them to do much, But theoretically, it makes sense for them, not wanting rookies, to do more in free agency and/or trades than around the draft. Why be disappointed now? Wait until everyone is signed my dudes...THEN be pissed.

If we waited to get him as a FA we would have to compete with everyone else who wanted him. He would have signed somewhere else, and CW would be pissed that we didn't draft him.

Like DFS said, one day doesn't mean anything.

In fact, yesterday demonstrates that Kahn is willing to trade Williams to add talent at a position of need. That is a huge step forward.

32 year Gasol where' Pek's pretty good. vs the 28 year old iggy where luke resides. Similar contracts, both teams probably want to dump (76s had redundancy and got more redundancy kinda like drafting D-will with K-love on your team). I'd rather we trade for Iggy (sadly this has been said a bajillion times) and try to get Iblocka.

Do we have $8mill in cap space after a trade for Iggy? Amnesty darko, flip the 4.6 and 5.7 of dwill/webster into the 10 (oops actually 13) of iggy, maybe trick someone into taking barea or wes? LOL yeah either way a team with a front court of love/ibaka/pek... scarrry.

Gasol/Love/Pek. BEST ALL WHITE FRONTCOURT EVERS! But actually, outside of Dirk and Griffin can't actually think of any better white frontcourt players haha.

There have been some funny things said lately, this is clearly one of them.

So...what the hell did Cleveland do? Who else was taking Waiters before the early teens? Why pick him so high? Weird.

Trading for Gasoft doesn't make any sense to me either. We desperately need starter level wings, not bigs. And if we are adding a C/PF he should be of the athletic, defensive minded ilk.

Oh yeah, Gasoft is white. Nevermind. KAHNned.

Screw trades, get rid of webster/beasely/randolph/tolliver. Sign Marco Belinelli!!!! trade for gasoft. Who's left? Wes and Lee? Package them away and get Rudy Fernandez.

ALL WHITE TEAMMMMMM.

How is Belinelli? Worth a Khan 4 for 4?
