"it's only getting worse" ??? Wow.
I would be completely shocked if we were worse next year than a .394 winning percentage. When Rubio started this team was over .500 and a legit playoff contender. I know he won't be up to full speed next year from the start and playing right away, but look what happened with him just being in the line up with no camp and just coming over.
This team is definitely going to be better next year, and we are going to have some enjoyable basketball to watch. I'm excited that we have a real shot to get out of the lottery and back in the playoffs.
We're not at the final roster yet, and stuff is going to be happening even this weekend.
"Kahn, you had the 58th pick in the draft. Why didn't you get a starter out of it last night?!"
Oh that's right, you tried hard to get in the top 5, but no one wanted to give up their pick. And there were teams that probably had better packages to offer than we did and they still couldn't get the job done. And I don't blame Charlotte, Sacramento and Golden State for sticking there and getting good players that fit their needs. I'd have been ticked if I was their fans and they gave up those guys for a bunch of parts. And it sounds like some of the offers could have been for legit starters like D-Will and possibly Harden. The trades just didn't happen for anyone at the top. Hard to just single out Kahn and call him an idiot for that.
Hey, I wish it would have happened, too. I wish Kahn would have blown them away. But it just didn't happen. I do understand our collective frustration. So I am not trying to say Kahn is this great guy. But I can't just look ahead to next season and think we are going to be worse.
AND we all know Kahn is working his plan with picking up two white shooters this week and dumping 3 black guys by tomorrow!
Anyway, peace to all and let's see what this weekend brings.
