The 76ers plan to amnesty Elton Brand. A D-Will for Iggy trade is ripe for the picking!

The unfortunate thing is the Brand amnesty makes it less likely a salary move is what will become of Iggy. They just shredded $18 million off of their cap (!!!).

The price for Iggy just went up.

I don't know about that. It looks like they are trying to cut salary and get younger. They signed Nick Young to a 1 year contract, presumably so they don't have to overpay to keep Lou Williams. They drafted a SF as well as already having Thaddeus Young and Evan Turner on the roster.

So they are super crowded on the wing and really thin at power forward.

Derrick Williams = 22 years old, power forward, rookie contract
Igoudala = 27 years old, small forward, $14 million per year

Seems legit.

Hmm.....yeah. I suppose they don't really need DeRozan in the slightest, do they?

D-Will, cap relief and even a first rounder is a very competitive offer. I wonder what other teams will offer. Maybe Houston can get him for K-Mart.

I wonder if this means Kahn will sign Lou in the end. What do people think about that? He is sort of parallel to Ridnour in a way, no? Maybe a little better? Underwhelming, but reasonable. Probably will cost too much.

No way man...Batum is out of our control but Iggy isn't. I don't want Lou Williams. Guy is a ball stopper, that just shoots every time he has the ball and isn't that good to be doing that. Iggy is perfect for this team. Unselfish player that will play within the system and probably excel at it. We get Batum or Iggy, this team is making the playoffs, I have no questions about that

I can't lie, I'm stoked about B. Roy. Granted it is risky, and a classic KAHN move, but he chose us over several other teams, and if healthy is a straight up pimp baller.

Dougie says that Philly has been contacting us about Iggy. Come on KAHN, let's go for it.

Welcome to the Wolves, Brandon Roy!

I really hope the Iggy deal happens, but have you seen Toronto's? It's clearly better. Shit. Calderon, Derozan, and Ed Davis. Or some ish like that. Go to Liberty Ballers to check it out.

Wtf we can't beat that offer unless Philly REALLY likes D-Will and they probably don't. So Toronto drafts a SF with the #8 pick and signs Landry Fields to that godawful contract, and now they want to trade away half their team for Iggy?

yea, plus I think they put something else in the deal too to make it even better. Dumb for Toronto, good for Philly.

Off-season fails, unless something dramatically changes:
- Toronto
- Houston
- Dallas
- Philly
- Orlando (Maybe missed their best return for Dwight)

Just to see it clear - if this guy is healthy & in his zone, he's one of the top5 SGs in the league.

Great Job David Kahn (Sorry CW)
Too bad he literally has no knees, and can never fix them. If we are lucky he'll be able to play 15 minutes per game. Hollinger hates the signing and basically thinks Roy is done for good. But we all hate Hollinger, so maybe that cancels out.

Not a great job by Kahn... he signed a retired guy that might not even be able to play. And for $5 million per year. Just another one of our mid-sized deals that most everyone has been complaining about the past few years (Martel, Gomes, Beasley, AR, Darko, Kahn's 4 for 4, etc etc etc.)
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Sign Shved.

Get Batum OR Iggy (or both!!! :woohoo: )

Get Tolliver while we're at it too. Then we are set for now, and could probably compete for a low playoff seed.

Only 1 yr guaranteed. Not a bad signing at all.

Hollinger is a douche.

Roy's knees are a huge question mark but Portland's training staff is the worst. Every injury in Portland becomes chronic because nobody is given the proper amount of time to recover. Think about it.

I am cautiously optimistic about Roy's ability to play 1.5-2 quarters per game.

You really can't complain if we sign Schved (or even Courtney Lee) and get either Batum or Iggy.

By my count, that is 2 legitimate NBA SFs (Buddinger and Batum/Iggy) and 2 potentially legitimate NBA SGs (Schved/Lee and Roy).

DO WORK, Timberwolves FO.

If that happened, I would have no complaints whatsoever.

But if that all fails miserably (which is much more likely with Kahn's track record), and we only add Roy and maybe one other random player... then that would be such a depressing epic fail.

We're actually halfway through the process. Roy plus Buddinger is where we're at.

If we sign Schved, Mayo, Lee, or whoever, you can't even complain if we don't get Batum or Iggy. It wouldn't be ideal, but it would be better than most of us hoped until it became clear that we were actually going to get crap done this summer..

I'm just saying.

overall he is an impressive person. high class guy that will bring a lot of maturity to this team. awesomeness. hope he stays feeling this good. i dont think he would come back if he wasnt feeling great, just hope it lasts!

Yup. This offseason has already surpassed my expectations. I thought is was going to be Jamal Crawford and something laughable like Garret Siler.

Kahn/The A Team have done a fine job to date.
