In an interview with Yahoo! Sports, Love urged Minnesota's management to acquire the necessary talent to make the franchise a contender. If the Timberwolves don't start winning this season, Love isn't sure how long he'll want to be a part of Minnesota's future.

"My patience is not high," Love said. "Would yours be, especially when I'm a big proponent of greatness surrounding itself with greatness? All these [Team USA] guys seem to have great players around them.

"It's tough seeing all these guys that are young and older who have all played in the playoffs. When they start talking about that, I have nothing to talk about. If I don’t make the playoffs next year I don’t know what will happen."
"I would say it's coming down to it for sure [next season]. It's no secret I was willing to commit to Minnesota for five years. I'm very happy with my contract. I'd love to be in Minnesota. But like anybody else, I want to win."
"But I think our front office and ownership needs to step up and get us some pieces. We need to make some moves. We can't just stand still. We have to make this happen."

Woohoo, this is exactly what I was hoping would happen when Kahn signed him to 3 years instead of 5. Finally Kahn, GT, and the front office Failtrust will be held accountable for something.

But as much as I'm happy Love is speaking out, he still came off as a total douchebag in this article, per usual. :S

LOL at the Kahn failure of signing him to a kahntract that allows him to leave after 3 seasons. Such idiotic failure.

KLove does sound kind of douchy, but I can't say I blame him for speaking the truth. It's all on Kahn and Taylor, no doubt.

(Awesome news for the K-Lav bet that I'll win with Bonk bwahahahahaha! )
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

The article I read actually was a lot longer where he spoke about Roy and Budinger ...But he's screwed...Signing that contract really put him in a bind because he's going to be here 2 1/2 years regardless.. The only time the Wolves are going to trade him is at the deadline on that third year. But He's right. Every time he says it he's right. I bet he's hoping to god we get Batum more than anyone

Reading that article was a great way to start the day. Keep up the pressure on Kahn, K-Lav!

Yeah he's really screwed. I feel terrible for him that he can't go into Dwight mode because he won't get his way after this season.

I'm all for Love putting the screws to Kahn to make a major move. But as you've all said, he managed to come off like a 9 year old who went to school after Christmas only to find out everyone got an X-Box but him.

It is a fine line between pushing the Front Office and selling out your teammates.

Nothing new. Kind of odd the timing giving Kahn is being super aggressive. At least wait until the Batum situation is done?

And yes, K Love is a gigantic doucherocket. This goes without saying.

I am sorry but K. Love can really sound like an arrogant ass sometimes. A lot of those guys on Team USA paid their dues and led their teams to the playoffs. He hasn't done either yet to the extent that most of those guys have, namely because of age and because of Rambust & DimWittman being complete tards. We are headed in the right direction. To call out the FO publicly like that this early in his career is really weak.

And PS his stats wouldn't be nearly as sweet and he probably wouldn't be getting nearly the recognition and accolades if he was on a better team.

He is not as good as he thinks he is.

Rubio = wins > K. Love = wins.

Remember when he went head to head v. Dirk, Aldrige, & KG in that week after Rubio went down and got owned? Yeah. Love still has a ways to go. He should shut his big mouth and lose a little bit of the sense of entitlement.

Don't forget Milsap and Z-Bo, guys who habitually dominate him.

Personally, I don't care how he sounded in that article. He spoke the truth. The truth that all Wolves fans are saying. He owned plenty of guys and plenty of games last year, so he has nothing to be ashamed of. And with him, you know he isn't satisfied and will continue to do the work to take it to the guys that took it to him last year. The guy continually works hard, improves and is as consistent as anyone in the league.

Stomp some more heads, K-Douche!

they are trying to make some moves this offseason. heck, FA hasnt even started yet. he needs to shut his mouth and see what plays out.

if after the offseason he doesnt like what they did, go to the FO and talk to them, not the media.

and this is why klove isnt our true leader, he is not mature enough

It's about time Love grew a pair and went after Kahn and Taylor. Seriously, this team has been absolute crap after the 04 season. Still can't believe the office had to force Garnett out of here. Call him a douchebag or whatever but this is actually the first time i've gained some respect for Love. He's not demanding a trade or anything like that. Just pointing out that Minnesota deserves better than what we've gotten the past 7 years. Put the maximum amount of pressure he possibly can on Kahn and Taylor to start spending some $ and getting actual talent. If I was Love i'd after playing the Olympics with Iggy should go to the media again and demand Kahn and Taylor trade for him.

That being said, even if this team does make the playoffs it's going to take more than just a 1st round appearance to convince Love to re-up with the Wolves in 3 years. When Kahn ends up giving Rubio the 5 year 98 million max is the day this franchise is doomed.

Concur.

I'm surprised that so many are criticizing his comments. Yes, he is a douche, but I don't get what the preferred comment would have been? That he was happy with Kahn's body of general managerial work? To NOT be aggressive and he is content playing alongside Warts Johnson?

Kahn is one of the least liked Minnesota figures and Love is calling him out. Horrible. He is signing with the Lakers/replacing Bosh in Miami in 3 years, so who cares?
