Nazr Mohammed. Boozer? Radmonovic? Taj Gibson? I don't know, I'm sure they could pick someone up besides Mohammed. Hell, throw Paolo Prestes in as a sweetener.

They are totally hamstrung by contracts for the next, oh, forever. Noah is one of the better but also longer contracts they have, and they would be replacing him with 2 guys that can be productive with shorter and less lucrative contracts. Plus throwing in some Euro/picks wouldn't hurt.

Doogie just totally made that up. Why would it be a real trade?

I just don't find it to be realistic. Noah is going to come off the bench or Pek for that matter?

Yeah it is totally made up but it would be AWESOME for the Wolves. Still trying to figure out what makes it work for Chicago. Maybe a 3rd team?

Boom. In light of the Cleveland looking to move Varejao for Ridnour + Williams rumors, Chicago ditches $85M worth of Noah and Boozer, and picks up $25M worth of Samardo Samuels and Anderson Varejao (does a lot of the same things Noah does, but for less money).

So it's a money move for Chicago, Cleveland adds upside (Williams), a veteran backup PG (Ridnour), and solid post scoring (Boozer) and maybe scores a few draft picks in the deal.

Minnesota ends up with Noah who rounds out the best big man rotation in the league, bar none.

It's actually closer to $90M over the next 4 years for Boozer and Noah... so while Chicago gives up the most talent in the trade, they also rid themselves of the worst contracts (Noah is arguably not a bad contract if you love defense as much as some, but still, $45M for 4 years is a big deal).

Downside is that it hurts our flexibility with Pek at the end of the year (somewhat concerning) and could hurt flexibility with Rubio. Upside is that it makes the Wolves a playoff contender. You could go Pek-Noah-Kirilenko-Roy-Rubio or something for all defense, you could roll with Pek and Love, Noah and Love (always thought they would complement each other well)... just saying. With Rubio, Shved, Roy, and Barea (he has a role), you don't need to freak out too much about the back court.

Is relevance worth the added expense???

Awesome trade all-around, make it happen. I think all teams would do that deal.

Dude if we had K-Lav, Pek, and Noah... that would be just sick. Plus Noah is like half-white, so Kahn would actually potentially acquire him.

Noah also is a naturalized French and Swedish Citizen, so he's uber-Euro- another Kahn plus.

Good point. Nice, then there is no way this trade won't go down!

That trade puts Chicago $7M under the cap for the next 3 years.

AV is a good player, but that is a poor value trade. I don't like it one bit. Classic Kahn trade overpayment. There is absolutely no reason D-Will should be moved in that deal.

It would be better if AV didn't play 6 games per season. AV's games played are pure disgust. 54 or fewer in 4 of 7 seasons, many worse than that.

I like Wolfenstein's JoNo idea much better.

FWIW the rumors are that Cleveland proposed the trade, not that Kahn accepted it.

Yeah that is a significant factor. I think this is certainly the guy Kahn was rumored to be discussing.

What other trade possibilities work?

It's hard not to like the idea of AV being a 3rd big on this team. I mean, he is about as close to Noah as you can get. Sound defender, energy, rebounder, some offense, too. Really nice addition to the rotation...

...until you look at his games played and realize odds are good Roy would play in more games than Varajao Anderson this year

Oh, one more thing...I think we need to come to terms with the fact that we are all overvaluing what DWill could bring in trade. AV is probably the level of player to expect, if anything. And it goes down from here the longer Kahn keeps him. As I said last week, it's only a matter of time before Cunningham takes his minutes.

I don't think it's all Derrick's fault, either. Kid's mind has been screwed with. He is an experiment at this point. Bad look for him. Ask for a trade, son. Start your career somewhere else.

Anyways...Cunningham will be someone we, and coach, like, I can feel it. Underrated acquisition. And now with the other moves made, Chase will be viewed in the same light before long (oh, no whatever will we do without Miles Plumlee :(:(:( ). Chase is going to play a lot more than people realize and probably will play well. That #18 for Chase trade is MUCH more palatable after the other moves.

I feel you on overvaluing Williams... However, if Cleveland is looking for a frontcourt player to match with Tristan Thompson that can shoot from outside and maybe be a little versatile, Williams is probably a good fit for them. Plus Ridnour is a totally underrated backup. Overrated starter, but underrated backup, make sense?

Throw some picks in there. Surely Chicago can afford one or two to rid themselves of $90M, amiright?
