Yeah, this ranking sure is a joke, but because this discussion here in the Forum is near to dead, a little nonsense can't hurt...

Till now the positions 200 - 500 are revealed

- Greg Stiesma: 270. (1st time ranked)
- Dante Cunningham 298 (301 in 2011)
- Shved 353 (-)
- Malcom Lee: 404 (429)

Which says, that Barea, Budinger, Kirilenko, Roy, Pek, Luke, DWill and of course Rubio and Love are all in the top 200. Not bad, considering the former Wolves:

Notable Mentions:
- Randy Foye 201 (222)
- Turbo 203 (208)
- Mike Miller 236 (169)
- Gerald Green 246 (-)
- AR 269(220)
- Kost Kordalis 274 (348)
- Anthony Tolliver 289 (289)
- Martell Webster 292 (231)
- The Kobe Stopper 322 (245)
- Ryan Gomes 326 (234)
- W-Ellington 344 (364)
- Ryan Hollins 346 (309)
- Dorko 352 (256)
- Pavlovic 357 (423)
- Sebastian Telfair 369 (322)
- Maurice Evans 374 (320)
- Major Lazer 383 (409)
- Johnny Flynn 386 (262)
- Jason Collins 391 (383)
- Shelden Williams 393 (338)
- Brian Cardinal 402 (326)
- Sundiata 408 (402)
- Mike James 434 (-)
- Damien Wilkins 442 (351)

i.e. only Micheal Beasly, Al Jefferson, Chauncy Billups, Ramon Sessions and of course KG are in the top 200

P.S. Turbo is way underrated!!

Speaking of absolutely horse trash lists, look at this one: sports.newsday.com/long-island/data/bask...eldSelect-position=C

No Pek? Deandre Jordan is better than Hibbert and Monroe? Laughable. The whole thing is laughable outside of the top 3.

I am assuming Ryan Hollins is not in the top 500 at all. He is trash.

If he beats out Brewer in the player ranking it invalidates the ranking. I mean, a bunch of drunk 5th graders playing NBA 2k13 and reading combine stats wouldn't even be able to justify Hollins over Brewer.

Also Randy Foye is ranked way too high. The "playing with an elite point guard" overrating problem.

Brandon Roy will probably not be ranked since he sat last year out.

They should rank Kirilenko but I am doubtful that they will.

Buddinger should show up in the next 20 or the ranking is likewise trash.

Ridnour is a 150-160 player.

Derrick Williams will get a pass to slide in around 125th because of his draft position, the game against the Lakers, and all the highlight jams he got to throw down thanks to Rubio.

Barea should have been ~240 but if you watch his highlights and ignore the little things he does that kill a team, you could justify him around 180.

I would take Corey Brewer every day over Beasley. Perfect example of journalists with no organized basketball experience taking talent over value.

Love is top ten, although they'll underrate him like they always do. Say what you will about his defense, but he is a unique and elite player.

Rubio is tied for first with LeBron and 1992 Jordan. Not even close.

Wow, what a garbage list. Hibbert and Monroe should both be way up there.

WOW, what a sad list of former TWolves. (Well, except Turbo of course.)

That makes me want to cry. :S

Awesome work on that list, MTW. HOWL for putting in the time & effort to list all of the former Wolves, that made it really interesting.

I don't have too much beef with the rankings thus far. Although Pavlovic is too high, and Telfair is too low. I do enjoy how low Johnny Flynn is. Kinda weird to see a Gerald Green resurgance.

Steinsma is right at the same point as A.R. Funny how that works, isn't it...because talking to Wolves homers you would think Steimer is wayyy >>> AR. Not that these ranks are the end all, but it's just funny how the psychology of hope and comparing something new to something old works in the minds of some fans.

Interesting - keep the updates coming!

I think Luke > Ramon.

Luke is definitely better than Ramon.

Beasley is still way too high imo.

And yeah, thanks for the updates and keep em coming!

A whole bunch of Wolves between 120 and 140:

- Budinger 133 (170)
- JJ 134 (92)
- DWill 139 (196)

By the way: the list is equavalent to the summary of all votes from "104 experts" from all ESPN resorts, TrueHoop and Daily Dime Live.

This showes, that Wolves has assembled a bunch of well known quality team-players. That's cool...

It has just now sunk in for me that Wes Johnson is no longer on this team.

Hey guys,

I have a correction to make: I've overseen the both Ryans (Gomes & Hollins): they are on position 326 resp. 346 (I edited this as well in the upper comment: it leaves even fever ex-Wolves in the top 200!)

But there are new updates:

Pek 105 (395): Still way to low!!

Former Wolves:

- Chauncy 110 (61)

Last year the total ranking amount had been 3123 for 15 players. That's an average of 208,2.
The starting five for the first game of last season (Ridnour-Wes-Beasley-Love-Dorko) had an amount of 808, that's an average of 161, 6

To compare: the Miami Heat (Chalmers-Wade-James-Bosh-Anthony) had an ammount of 363, that's an average of 72 and OKC had

I assume Love will be higher than 16 this year, Pek is + 151 to former Darko, Ricki is already higher, than Luke's former 182 (I'll say he comes in the top 50), Kirilenko isn't probably ranked, but even Budinger and DWill are only 'bout 25-30 places lower, the same with Wes' No. 245, even when Roy is underrated (145, that's 100 positions higher), Buddinger and JJ are alone 'bout 110 positions higher.
So I assume we gonna be bout 280 positions higher, wich would be an average of 105,6 (bout 56 positions higher, every player!!!)
