So... if we traded Love for anyone short of Ibaka and Kevin Martin, or Beard, or Blake, Aldridge, etc. I'd be pissed. But it's kind of fun to dream up outlandish trades to ditch Love and bring in my favorite guys.

Paul Pierce would be averse to being part of a Boston Celtics rebuilding project.

“I’m at the point in my career where I’ve got to evaluate it each and every year,” Pierce said. “It’s all based on the situation and based on what I want out of this game still. I mean, I’ve still got a lot of love for the game. I’m still very motivated. But there’s other factors.

“I mean, I really don’t want to be part of a rebuilding situation again. I just think at this point in time that’s something that would wear on me too much mentally that I don’t know what decision I may make if I have to. I may retire if I have to. You know, that’s something that’s a year-end process, especially given the situation that we have right now.”

Pierce left open the possibility he could finish his career with another team.

I think Danny Ferry would take a minute or two to evaluate this one. `Cause Roy will be of the table by next season and Ridnour surely can be traded somewhere (Charlotte or something) as well as DWill maybe. And this is SURELY the only Superstar (top 10) they can get right now. (Plus we could give a an odd draft pick or two...)

Pierce would not be happy here, he wants to go to a contender. He doesn't have a no-trade clause in his contract, but still the Celtics aren't going to trade him to a team that he doesn't want to go to.

They must think Burks has some untapped potential. I don't really understand that trade though either. The Jazz have been showcasing him lately, he's played a lot more minutes and played well. Maybe he's about to get traded.

Good article on Rubio's influence on Derrick Williams' play. I like that not only is Rubio helping him to be more productive, but the demand of Ricky and the coaches that he plays the same whether he is on the court with Ricky or one of the other guards that doesn't pass to him.

With need to break up. I'm even kind of leaning to a Gasol-trade:

Like this one:

Wolves: get Gasol + 1st rounder of the Suns + 2nd rounder LA (and actually even saving money with this)
Lakers: get Frye, Beasley (from Suns), Ridnour, Williams (from us)
Suns: get Pekovic, Roys contract + Josh Smith
Atlanta: get Gortat, Marshal (+ save a lot of money)!

Maybe it's not the most attractive deal for us, but it's quite reallistic. + I still believe that Pau and Ricky would play nice together...

We would be a pure offensive team, though, but we are more offensivly anyway...

And for the other 3 teams it would be a nice deal too...
