The Kings & Celtics each send a 1st round pick to the Wolves. The Wolves return the Grizzlies 1st round pick to them that we own (which we got in a trade with Houston if I remember correctly). The Wolves get Jimmer just for the lulz and to keep our white guy quota up.

I think this trade makes 3 teams better, with the exception of the Celtics, who blow it up in exchange for a young core and avoiding some painful rebuilding seasons. How can you not love that Wolves team? Plus we get a couple of sweet draft picks from shipping Love off to NBA purgatory.

As for D-Will...just effing give the guy 30 minutes. Raise his value for us or for the trade market. He has really shown some decent flashes over the past month.

But I still want JJ Redick for him should it come to it. Or perhaps Dudley. Consistent shooters who can play starting quality ball.

Memphis needs to cut $4 million from their salary so that they aren't in the luxury tax. The above works. They get "potential" with Williams, and they DESPERATELY need 3PT shooting, as they are one of the worst 3PT shooting teams in the league (still better than the historically bad TWolves though!) Ridnour and Williams both provide that for them.

Looks like a win-win deal to me.

CW your trade idea doesn't work according to the Trade Machine. I wouldn't do it anyways. Talentwise it's a good trade for us, but Gay's contract is just absolutely brutal. If we did that, it means we'd have no chance of re-signing Pek unless AK47 opted out of his contract and went somewhere else.

For me, AK47 + Pek > Gay + Pek and certainly the chance of Gay + AK47 and no Pek would be really bad.
