Ricky was in starter whites this morning. Hopefully that means he's going to start. It would be good for him. Get him in a rhythm early

Adding to your insight...
MINNEAPOLIS – Maybe Ricky Rubio just really likes wearing white.

At least, that was what assistant coach Terry Porter would have liked you to believe this morning at the Timberwolves' shootaround, when the point guard was wearing a white starter's jersey for the first time all season. Porter was vague when discussing whether Rubio would start Thursday night against the Clippers – "He's wearing white," he said. "What does that mean?" – but he did acknowledge that the team has engaged in discussions about shuffling the starting lineup.

In the end, Porter did not say either way whether Rubio, who's come off the bench in his first 10 games back since ACL repair, would start. Head coach Rick Adelman will be responsible for making that final designation, Porter said, even though he remains away from the team.

"We still have some more discussions," Porter said. "If I had everyone here in white would you come ask me these questions, or just because Ricky's in white?"

"He just happened to put it on white."

I wouldn't be surprised to see the point guard take the court for tipo-ff against the Clippers on Thursday, but I also wouldn't be floored if he remained on the bench. Regardless, this is the first time that there's even been an inkling that Rubio would be among the starting five this season, and that in itself is a step. Porter also confirmed that Rubio's minutes restriction has been eased; now, he's allowed 26-28, up from his 24-minute cap in Dallas, which Porter accidentally went over.

"Twenty-four was the max," he said. "I think I exceeded that. I got a demerit."

Porter also refused to comment about the rest of the starting lineup. There's been some speculation recently that Derrick Williams might get a shot to start over Dante Cunningham at forward, and Porter also dodged that question.

"When the ball goes up, you'll be able to tell by then who's going to start," he said.

No CP3, most likely: The Los Angeles Times reported Thursday morning that Chris Paul will likely miss Thursday night's game in Minnesota. He was in the training room during shootaround having his bruised knee worked on, and if he sits, it'll be his third consecutive game out.

Caron Butler, who's been dealing with a sore foot he suffered Tuesday, will play, according to the same report.

Zgoda: the Wolves, as expected, will sign European swingman Mickael Gelabale on Friday after Lazar Hayward's 10-day contract expires following tonight's game.

Gelabale probably already is town and very well could be at practice tomorrow. A member of the French Olympic team last summer, he will help address their needs for a defender and three-point shooter.

The night of Ricky Rubio and his game has been disastrous.

He shot 1 in 6 and even the panties and has hit only one. WOW. The easiest layup and without cover him, Miss really and Super ugly.

I hope the second half has eliminated that frustration and improve.

I think that happens to have a lot of anxiety for shine.

Seguimos . . .

Wow what happened? 77 points? I only watched a small part of the game, it was when Shved was limping to the locker room. That was enough for me. All these injuries and losses are making my interest in this season fade very fast.

I don't blame Kahn for the injuries but this team needs a new vision. Someone that's going to come in, repair the front office relationship with Love and have other teams take our GM seriously. Kahn's time is up and he has absolutely no leg to stand up. The team has accomplished nothing and busted on draft pick after draft pick under his watch. My only fear is Taylor won't sell the team and feels comfortable with his relationship with Kahn that he gives him a new contract

Well... that game was a disaster.

I don't even want to talk about it. The Clippers were missing their best guy. They have a 40 year old point-forward. They play Turiaf. Sometimes during the game they had 4 forwards on the court at the same time. It looked like they were all giving 50% effort and didn't really care. It was like they knew they were gonna win anyways, and just had to go show up to beat us.

Honestly, at no point in the game could I say with a straight face that I thought we had a chance to win. It was bad. :S :(
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

He just gave Kahn a kahntract extension last off-season... :(

Yeah, that was bad. College Wolf & I sat 4 rows from the Clippers bench though, which was tight. Looks like they have a lot of fun together. Turiaf is such an animated clown. Matt Barnes is awesome and gritty. Caron Butler chews straws non-stop with the fervor of a mountain lion after a fresh catch. Grant Hill is actually super ripped in person. So is Bledsoe. Lamar Odom is not, although he also surprisingily didn't look fat at all. D'Andre seems like the social guy on the team, the dude who bands everyone together. Vinny calls Blake "BG". For some reason this entertained me.

tRicky is struggling. He looks borderline miserable out there. Shooting shots at halftime, nothing was going in and he just looked so sad and disappointed. He needs to get his confidence and swagger back.

Trent Tucker was having a conversation with Kevin Harlan at halftime. Made me daydream about the best broadcast team in Wolves history, a tandem which will never be topped in Wolves lore.

If Ridnour wasn't hitting shots we would have easily lost by 20. Diseased game. JJ was horrible again, Dante can't hit his midrange right now, Shved & Peck hobbling off, what a disaster.

Yeah definitely, being there by the Clippers bench and at TC with you was super fun. That's always a great time! The game... not so much at all. :pinch:
