...and you probably refer to Wu Tang as old school rap, you may or may not refer to Backstreet Boys as "classic rock," you have no idea who Sugar Hill Gang was. You missed the Twin Towers of the NBA, and you don't remember that before there was Hakeem Olajuwon there was Akeem Olajuwon and his rivalry with Patrick Ewing was legit. You forgot that when Jordan left the game people thought maybe Barkley would be the best in basketball, or maybe Drexler, or someone like that. Then Olajuwon got serious and it wasn't even close for two years. He was easily the most dominant player in the game. Plus he observed Ramaddan and al that jazz, and was always a super humble guy. Then Jordan came back and made us all forget because he was a whole different species of basketball player. I don't care what anyone says, LeBron is still way, way behind Jordan's level of "I can do whatever I want whenever I want."

Yao is only cool because he was created in a lab for the spectacle and enjoyment of 1 billion+ people. A ChineseTruman Show if you will.

Olajuwon... dude could play.

Yea, ya'll are trippin hard.

Akeem was hilarious off and on the court, he was the most dominant player in the league for stretches, KG learned his turnaround from him, he didn't skip a beat while playing through Ramadan (an entire MONTH!), and he is Nigerian...Amazing how the best player in the league, at some points, grew up without any resources to become so good.

RH, good call. What an idiot I am for forgetting Mutombo. definitely my #2 Rocket. screw Yao. He's number 3 now. Mutombo played until he was 72!

He was an amazing athlete. The Nigerian resource that he capitalized on was the footwork he learned playing soccer. Wasn't he a goalie, too? He played defense like a goalie!

Those Phi Slamma Jamma days were some of the best ones of March Madness.
