Hey fellas,

If anyone is interested in this mock GM/Fantasy basketball league, it's pretty fun. It's completely free if you want to join. You can be an "Agent" and represent players, sign contracts, hold out, etc... or you can be a "GM" and be in complete control of your own team. You can sign free agents, trade, buyout players, etc. And then when the season starts, it turns into a fantasy basketball league and you go head to head against other GMs! Again, it's completely free and we need more people. Here's the info:

- Go to this website and create an account: http://www.paspn.net/

- League name: Inner Cylinder NBA GM

- Passphrase is: Short

Teams still available:

Nets
Hawks
Bobcats
Knicks
76ers

Hornets
Spurs
Suns
Mavericks
Rockets
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Dang I should have been the Hornets maybe. CP3 is a stud. Oh well, OKC is going to dominate.

Haha, as you wrote that message, I was checking out the webpage. Of course I'm down! This is a great idea CW, can't wait to sign up. I just have a few questions though:

1) So do we just start with w/e the current franchise has and then we can make changes to it once we sign up?

2) Have you guys all begun already with your franchises and making additions to your teams? More specifically, do those of us who are joining late have a disadvantage due to less amount of available Free Agents?

3) Who's already in and are any of them forum members?

ps: I kinda want to call dibs on Hornets or Suns, depending upon what the answer to the above questions are... hehe.

1. The team is comprised of the team's actual roster as of the end of last season. For instance, Shawn Marion was on the Raptors etc.

2. Somewhat. Free agency is in full swing right now but there is plenty of guys still left. I just joined last week so I missed a bunch of stuff too. For instance, the draft was held. I'm OKC and had the #2 pick but I wasn't in control of the team yet and they selected Thabeet for me which I would never have done but oh well. Plus it's like GMing an actual team so everything carries over to next year and beyond (as long as people want to continue playing so theoretically as long as the NBA exists.) So I wouldn't be too worried about that aspect.

3. There are like 20 teams already claimed and 10 open (I think) There are also 3 active agents.

All in all, it is really sweet and a great idea.

Nice! pants is in as an agent.

Also some of the other agents were frustrated when it wouldn't let them sign guys. The reason is because there is player tier limits.

You can represent 5 tier 3 players, 8 tier 2 players, and 17 tier 1 players.

OKC would have been my second choice after the TWolves. Probably Portland or Boston third.

Wooohooo, you gotta join!

1) Yeah. Don't be the Knicks though. Someone was the Knicks, made a bunch of trades, and then resigned as GM.

2) Yeah. You aren't at too much of a disadvantage though. No one could do anything with rosters for teams that didn't have a GM. So, you will have the full team plus autodrafted picks (not that it matters for the Hornets or Suns.) Also, some free agents have already been signed, but there are still a lot of good ones out there.

3) I'm the TWolves, Roundhouse is OKC, and Pants is an Agent. I don't think anyone else joined?

Agreed. Plus its free, so no big deal. It's fun, especially if you are a fan of the NBA like all of us.

Hey, so I'm trying to join now. I've registered and trying to join the league, but I'm having some trouble. I'm in the at the screen where it asks for League Name, League ID, Passcode, and "Join As." I'm using the League Name that CW gave, ID is 5954, and I tried to use "Short" as the Passcode, but it's not working. I pick "GM" as my option and then Submit, but it just brings me back to that same screen. What the heck!

Edit: Nvm, figured it out. It worked... haha. I'm the Hornets, let's go CP3!!!

Also, 1 more question, sorry haha. When the season begins, how does it start like fantasy basketball? Do we set lineups? Do we just use our entire team as our fantasy lineup? Just a bit of clarification would be nice, thx in advance!

Yea the site takes some getting used to. Make sure of those 2 things and see what happens.

I got it. Thanks anyway. I just thought it would bring me to a different screen after I entered the info. Had one more question though:

ps: No Okafor??? Boooooo.

Yeah. The site takes a while to get used to, but you are smart and will get the hang of it. Under the menu tab "My Org", see all those buttons at the bottom? Click on the "Declare Starters" button and that is where you set your lineups. I have mine set right now, but obviously you can change it whenever you want. They are weekly lineups and you do have to set them, your entire team doesn't get stats.
