Saw Hanna.

There was a lot of potential here, I thought. I did enjoy the unbelievability of a 14 (I'm guessing) year old girl beating up grown men and doing pull ups like they were nothin.

I just about turned it off and had a "done as a society" moment when I thought they were about to do an adolescent girl on girl scene...and then they didn't. Even for DFS that would have been too much. Watching the movie beside a Swamp donkey, it was an awkward moment.

Decent premise, poor execution. I took nothing from the movie. Don't bother.

   This post was awesome. Howl. I recommend The Professional instead.
Heard that movie was supposed to be pretty good, although I haven't seen it. Guess I'll pass on it then. I did think the idea of some little girl doing all that stuff in the previews was kinda ridiculous.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Good look Roundhouse. I'll check it out.

CW, you might have different ideas of a good movie than DFS. Also, she is a lab baby is basically a superhuman, which why she's able to do what SALT does as a 14 year old.

What do you mean about our good movie ideas? I didn't say I thought it was a good movie. Just from stuff I've read (I read lots of movie reviews as you've obviously seen), and it has a pretty high ranking on imdb.com, hence why I said "I heard it was decent." That's all.

She has super strength or heightened abilities or what? That seems incredibly stupid.

hahahahaha! Daddy's post and this response were awesome. I was also sitting there contemplating what a swamp donkey was...i thought it was like a really drunk dude. So then after giving it a good 20 seconds in my head, I scroll down and see this. Way to clear that up for me Wally. Funny shit!

Haha, glad to be of service Bonk.

CW, I'm saying you might go see it and think differently. Just because I thought it was silly doesn't mean you will.

Ahhhh gotcha, that obviously makes a ton more sense. I trust your opinion though (as do I for most everyone here that posts in this thread.) I guess maybe I could Redbox it or something, but there are a ton of other movies I'd probably rather watch first...

Government super strength soldier experiment....which is such a original idea that's never been done before.. and yeah it does suck.

I love me a good superhero movie, but Captain America was just "blah" at best. There are so many other, better superhero movies out there. The first half hour of this movie building the story was the best, if that tells you anything. It's worth a Redbox rental, but I wouldn't go much further than that. Kinda disappointing.

I watched Cowboys & Aliens. It was pretty bad. I gave it 4/10. It's worth a $1 rental if you really like some of the actors or were anticipating seeing it, but if you don't you're not missing out on much.

Cool, thanks. Was considering whether or not to even Redbox that. Maybe I will on a slow non-Bloguin-work night. Too bad those are few and far between.

Yea I knew it was going to be kind of bad because I saw some of the reviews and the fact that it flopped in theaters, but it was even worse than I thought it would be.

I too am scratching my head trying to figure out why so many people loved this movie. Like you said, it starts out promising but quickly turns into a huge joke. I laughed out loud more than a couple of times at scenes that were supposed to be serious. And the action scenes were so boring and made even worse by the complete and utter incompetence of the bad guys.

Totally correct. It was just... boring. And the "bad guys" were just lame and stupid. And the final battle was short and weak.

I didn't want to spoil it for anyone else in my original post, but yeah, pretty lame movie overall.
