I'm not sure why, but I decided to watch the latest Resident Evil movie. My goodness, these movies are complete shit now. Amazingly it's even worse than the last one, which was awful. I gave it a generous 3/10.

Dang, that's sad to hear. The first two RE movies were pretty solid I thought, but the 3rd one was just kinda 'bleh.' I haven't seen any others in the series though.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Yea, don't waste your time. Heck I even liked the 3rd one, but the 4th and 5th were beyond horrible. I guess at this point I'm invested and have to see the 6th and final movie :side:

How do these movies keep making so much money at the box office? The 5th one made over $200 million on a $60 million budget.

Ok cool, I won't waste my time, especially since I have only seen the first 3.

For the income... are you asking about their total box office, or just domestic? Because like most other action movies, they make a shitload of money internationally. That's part of the reason why some movies that are deemed "flops" actually aren't, because people usually are just referencing their domestic income and don't even know about the overall international box office totals.

Yea, you are right. $65 million budget, and only made $42 mil domestically, but $225 mil worldwide. I guess Americans aren't the only ones who support mindless idiotic movies

Yeah I know, crazy huh? Even super crap "flops" like Battleship and John Carter usually end up around about breaking even, or actually still somehow making a profit. Not in all cases though, but sometimes.

So yea, Savages. is pretty bad. Horrible writing and directing, way too long considering 3/4ths of the movie is pointless scenes, ridiculously stupid ending, and Blake Lively does what is probably the worst voiceover narration in the history of film. I even thought she was pretty good in The Town, but wow, she is apparently a terrible actress. I give it a 4/10, just because the parts of the movie that Blake Lively wasn't ruining were actually decent.

Yeah, that narration is one of the worst things ever. And the ending totally sucks too. I wanted that movie to be way cooler than it was.

I should have listened to you guys better, because man, The Boondock Saints II was not a good movie at all. In fact, it was actually pretty terrible.

:(

I won a contest and got a free copy of the movie Forced to Fight, lol. In all seriousness though, it wasn't THAT bad. I mean, I don't know why it's so low on IMDB. I'd give it like a solid 4.5 at least. I have certainly seen worse movies, and the action wasn't too bad. I guess the acting was a little stiff though. But Peter Weller was a good bad guy!

I just found out that this After Earth movie exists.

Oh man, it looks so bad. It stars Jaden "worst actor in Hollywood" Smith, Will "turned down Django Unchained to do Men in Black 3" Smith, and is directed by M. Night "haven't made a movie in 10 years that wasn't terrible" Shymalan.

I really hopes this bombs at the box office, or else I fear for the future of the movie industry.

This has been plugged for a LOOOOONG time RH. If it wasn't made out to be the best movie ever made, I'd happily go see it pirate the movie for the special effects and action. But you can't pump up a movie like this when it looks nothing other than average, at best.

If I want to watch Jaden Smith be an "ehhh" actor I'll re-watch karate kid, which was awesome, by the way. Anytime you can hear Jackie Chan tell a little boy to "Jacket off" over and over you got a winner.

Haha I guess I didn't know about it because I avoid movies with Jaden Smith in them like the plague after watching him completely destroy "The Day the Earth Stood Still" with his awful acting. I refuse to watch the Karate Kid for those same reasons, as well as for the fact it's called The Karate Kid (karate is Japanese) and they do kung-fu (Chinese) in the movie, which is just really disrespectful and ignorant.

Plus Jaden Smith's entire career so far has been straight up nepotism, Will has gotten him every role, there's probably thousands of more qualified kids out there to play these roles. Also, someone needs to slap that stupid look off his face that he has in every single picture that's ever been taken of him.

God yes, I KNOW! Could.... not.... agree... more.

He sucks. And "After Earth" looks just plain stooopid.
