Just broke a bone in my elbow this morning...and man, it hurt like a bitch. Got some morphine which messed me up a little--but now i'm back home and have use of only one arm. and it's taken me about an hour to type that last sentence...gah!!! i wish i had a good story, but really, i just slipped on some ice and fell on my elbow...wish it was more exciting than that.

So, anyone have a more interesting story than that about getting a broken bone or something else like that?

To answer your question, I've broken a finger on one hand and a small \"non-finger\" bone in the other hand. Nothing major and no exciting stories for me either...

P.S. Now you'll get to type like Bill Simmons... albeit with one hunting and pecking hand, instead of two.

Can anyone honestly believe that Bill Simmons still \"hunts and pecks\" as his typing technique!?!?! That is INSANE! I mean, he writes for a living and has written hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of words in his lifetime. How could one NOT learn how to formally type after having written that much on a keyboard?!?! I can't get over that. Very sad.

Oh no Anthony - that is a big-time bummer! So how does that work with an elbow? Cast? Sling? How long are you on the Injured Reserve for?

I actually have a decent story about a broken bone. The only time I've ever broken a bone was in 9th grade, I broke my pinky-finger bone in my hand. It was during basketball practice, acutally before practice, when we were all shooting around and goofing off. My best buddy & I got in a bit of a tiff and were really under each others skin, and as he shoved me and ran away, I chased him and punched him right in the back of the head (extrelemy idiotic, I know). To this day, my parents still think it happened hitting my hand on the court going for a loose ball during basketball practice, haha, even though the doctor said they call is \"punchers break\" and 95% of the time that bone is broken by someone punching something....good times.

And, after all that, we had to have the IV removed to go to a different hospital.

Oh, and I've broken the same foot/ankle 3 times doing 3 completely different things.

Well, still have an extremely limited range of motion, so I'm still stuck using the Bill Simmons typing technique. Hopefully the elbow will be well enough so I can actually do something for the site in the next few days...I wanted to rip this team so badly after that Houston game.
