Is there any good new shows coming up? I'll probably check out the pilot of Revolution tonight although it looks pretty terrible. :S

Returning shows:

Boardwalk Empire - started last night
Homeland - Sept. 30
The League- Oct. 11
Walking Dead - Oct. 14
Am. Horror Story - Oct. 17

Thank you for the reminder to get American Horror Story on Netflix. Need to get that.

Revolution could be decent but like any network supernatural/sci-fi drama attempted since Lost, it will be cancelled after 1 season so thus is not even worth the effort. That is a show that simply belongs on cable. Meanwhile, all the reality TV you can stomach will continue to be available season after season!

I can't stomach any reality shows.

Yep Revolution will definitely only last 1 season, especially since it's on NBC. They love to cancel everything.

Oh also Last Resort is apparently getting good reviews. I didn't think it looked like anything special from the previews I saw but maybe I'll check it out. Starts on the 27th on ABC I think.

Yeah... I am a glutton for punishment, so I'll probably check out "Revolution" tonight as well.

STOKED for The League! Man, that show rocks hard. Walking Dead should be pretty sweet, as least compared to crappy last season. And American Horror Story... I'll watch that again too.

I don't get the pay channels and have enough on my hands as it is... so I miss out on the sweet Showtime and HBO shows. Ahhh well, there are only so many hours in the day.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Oh man... Revolution. I don't know if I even want to get into talking about that show. Sooooooooooo many ridiculous plot holes and problems.

They skipped the best part, which is what happened to the country after the "Blackout" (oooooohhhh scary.) And they shouldn't have gone 15 years into the future so quickly. Implausible and dumb.

I might watch one more episode, but I have very little hope for this show. The entire premise is just so absurdly stupid (NOTHING works... not physics (huh?!?), or batteries, or everything else, etc.) I'd be shocked if it somehow lasted longer than 1 season. :S

I think a giant wizard caused the blackout. Makes as much sense as anything else on the show.

Yea that show is just...bad. Not a single person in that show is interesting at all. The terrible dialogue had me laughing at times.

It's hilarious how only the people in charge and militia are allowed to use guns but then they're shown using muskets. MUSKETS. I mean come on, in the US it would be so easy to find tons of handguns, shotguns, rifles, M16, M4, etc and yet they are using muskets. Hahahahahahaha.

I KNOW. There are a billion plot holes, and/or just purely retarded things. Just... stupid.

So, Let the Daddy know which way to go. I'm not a comedy guy, I watch stand up for that. I like deep sh*t, which is why The Wire, Deadwood, Thrones, etc. are awesome.

Should I try Homeland? Hell on Wheels? Sons of Anarchy? What? I definitely am not watching that Revolution nonsense...

I'm going to try the BBC show "Copper" tonight. but I need another to start until Walking Dead, Thrones, Justified, etc. come back on.

Hell on Wheels is solid (second season way better than the first), but you'd definitely need to watch the 1st season first, or you wouldn't know what the heck is going on.

Have heard Sons of Anarchy is good.

Have heard Breaking Bad is great (my next show to watch from the beginning if I ever get time.)

Heard Homeland is really good, but I don't get Showtime.

Other than that, I don't know many others offhand. Maybe American Horror Story if you like Horror at all? You don't have to see the first season at all to see the second one. Totally different story and characters and everything.

Bet. American Horror story is not for the Daddy.

I'm caught up on Breaking Bad. I am super surprised you aren't all caught up on it, it's the most popular show out! It's ok to me. I can't watch a show about drugs and not compare it to the Wire. It's unrealistic, the characters aren't compelling to me (maybe because it's just boring white trash characters?), and the plot is boring half the time. What kept me watching was some of the acting and straight peer pressure.

And why don't you just watch these shows online? Watchseries.eu is one site. You know these sites...not having Showtime is no excuse

Gotcha, thanks. That's an analysis I haven't heard before, although I am in no way discounting it. The more reviews about stuff, the better, I always say.

Breaking Bad fell off the rails during season 2 IMO. Don't get me wrong it's still a good show but I am not a fan of how they invent all these ridiculous scenarios just move along the plot. Also now they change who the characters are all willy nilly from episode to episode. Kind of like what happened to Nip/Tuck.

Daddy you should definitely watch Homeland. That show is pretty fycking awesome and full of suspense/drama. Some things about it annoy the shit out of me but overall it's one of the best shows running right now. And Claire Danes rocks.

Hell on Wheels is actually a pretty good show now. The 2nd season is overall a lot better than season 1.

Agreed, I'm really enjoying it.

Wish I could watch Homeland on the HD TV with surround sound. Bummer. :( Maybe I'll break down and just watch it on the comp...
